Nevski68 (1) - Tiverton, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2017 does not count Bring it back! It was the best stout I ever tasted. Sadly missed. A great sweet end to it that set it apart from its competitors.

My father in law got me this one from a colleague of his, having used it for displaying in his apartment for ages. Best before date 27.03.1997. LOL!! Just had to test it, just for fun...
Tiny bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet malty, something like malt candy maybe, dark sugar, hints of chocolate and soap. Taste is very watery and slightly sweet, malt candy, dark syrup, hay, grass, hints of chocolate. Little bitterness, as watery mouthfeel as it gets. Basically it’s just bad. But given that it’s bb. date expired almost 17 years ago, and it’s only 4% ABV, it’s actually kind of drinkable. I kind of expected it to be worse than worst actually...
tombyars (2362) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 13, 2012First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in October 1995. This was in cask and NOT in nitrokeg form. Cask, handpump dispense. Dull black in colour with a thick tight creamy off white head. Slight aroma of barley grain, very short in intensity. Thick creamy mouthfeel and superb lacing throughout. Dark malts give a smooth maltloaf base with sweet raisin fruit, hints of coffee bean and bitter plain chocolate. Slight prickle of hops in the short lived aftertaste. Finish is really creamy and ultra smooth with currants, tobacco smoke and grain husks full in the mouth. An excellent session sweet stout, but very hard to find in cask form - more’s the pity.
coling (1) - SCOTLAND - NOV 11, 2011 does not count Sitting in the pub of a Friday evening with fond memories of supping a smooth pint of the good stuff. Wish it was still around!

YellowKoala99 (9) - ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2003 does not count Possibly the finest stout around. Very creamy texture without being thick, making it easily drunk. Haven't seen it for a few years though - is it still made??
