UPDATED: MAY 15, 2023 Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, mild chocolate, leather, dried fruit and hint of a red wine. Pours hazy dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head. Taste starts tart yeasty and slightly medicinal, following is heavily roasted and leathery with dried fruity acidity and chocolate note, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. dflb (635) - California, USA - APR 19, 2021
UPDATED: APR 19, 2021 Bought at El Cerrito Liquor from Corona, California for $6.99, Zwet.be is a Belgian porter crafted with wild yeast brewed by 3 Fonteinen from Lot, Vlaanderen, Belgium. The aroma of chocolate, cherries, and a fair, straw Brettanomyces yeast funk are felt upon the nose. The appearance is dark brown that pours a finger of beige head. Dark mahogany shows when held up to light and when light reflects off the beer. The alcohol content is 7%. Chocolate is slightly rich, malty to the frame, and smoothened by Belgian yeast. Prunes compliments the chocolate and Belgian yeast, and provides texture to the mouthfeel. Roasted malt deepens the chocolate and prune combination. Brettanomyces yeast imparts a relatively lactic touch and a straw funk, softly tart to the complexion, and followed by a fair, sweet cherry note. Licorice gently spices the prune and malt body, which is expanded by a woodsy tint from oak. Zwet.be is a glamorous Belgian porter. Chocolate malt, Belgian yeast, prunes, roasted malt, Brettanomyces yeast, cherries, licorice, and oak blend into an exquisite craft beer. Belgian yeast compliments and creams the chocolate malt and prune mixture, which is fairly sweetened by cherries. Lactic Brettanomyces yeast and cherries give off a slight tart to the take. The straw funk colors the malt and prune body along with a touch of licorice. As the beer warms, the cherries and licorice merge with the yeasty profile. I treasured each drink and enamored by the creativity, complexity, depth, and quality of this brew. Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer. caribou43 (3080) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 24, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2021 Thanks Luigi for this bottle that you bought at le Belge, Leman Center, Crissier. Trying this bottle with pleasure at Bonfol, during this sunny day, too hot, at Sunday. The body is black and brown, troubled with an average carbonation, a bit lower than usual. I had pleasure with this beer, good beverage and interesting, roasted malt, smooth at the palate, coffee, chocolate with an interesting note of cherry, fruity, well balanced and subtle, hop and a bit bitter at the final.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 Marrone scuro velata. Schiuma beige fine e persistente. Aroma complesso tostato di caffè e nocciola, terra, Brett, amarena e vaniglia. Gusto scarico, debole, tostato, amaro, fruttato di amarena sciroppata, vaniglia legno. Corpo debole, carbonatazione quasi assente, leggermente astringente. Poco calda. Non del tutto equilibrata ne armonica.

nathanvc (5968) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2020 Bottle from Geers, couple of months past expiration. Hazy black with a stable, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of prune, brambleberry, red apple, blue grape, coffee bean, dark chocolate powder, toast. Taste has sweet prune, apple, grape, chocolatey & bit toasty edge, some sour berries & funky wood on top. Tart finish, tart fruit, bit earthy, low hoppiness, more of that chocolatey powder effect & wood. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice blend of styles, I like it, even past its prime.

eXORRO (1086) - POLAND - SEP 5, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2020 Aroma of caramel, some chocolate, red fruits. Not very intensive. Taste of caramel and little chocolate. Watery. Nothing happens. Low body and carbonation. I kept it for so long time, maybe that's the point. This bottle is very bad.

hauxe (4014) - Butzbach, GERMANY - JAN 17, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2020 Dark brown with a sticky, frothy, beige head that lingers. Aroma full of roasted grains and quite earthy. Further sniffing reveals dog food, chocolate and cherries. Certainly interesting! Taste is very mildly bitter with some mild Brett sourness arising at the finish. Mild though—not enough to put off the wife, who despises sour beer. Finishes tart and full of oak and toffee. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. A good one!
