COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Earlier sold as "Qvänum Bitter".

Detta är en bärnstensfärgad ale som är lätt torrhumlad vilket ger en markant högre humlearom och en blommig citrusdoft. Alkoholhalten är 6,3%.

Vi har gjort denna lite bittrare variant för att tillhandahålla en öl av mer modernt, lite amerikanskt snitt, men med ambitionen om balans mellan de olika smakerna i ölen. Bitterheten gör ölen lite mer svårplacerad till mat men beskan fungerar bra till gräddiga och lite fetare rätter.

Vi har en praktikant att tacka för Qvänum Bitter. Det var nämligen så, att denna praktiserande ungdom var ålagd att passa brygden under en lite känsligare del av bryggningen. Röra om, så att det inte bränner vid och så. Men den gode praktikanten fick väl något bättre att tänka på och vidbränning var just vad som skedde! Resultatet blev som bekant bra ändå och än idag brygger vi Qvänum Bitter på praktikantens vis – bränner det hela lite lätt!

500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy copper/amber, small and lasting head, good lacing. Caramel and butterscotch aroma, earthy and woody, citrus in the background. Smooth, soft and mid-sweet mouthfeel, close to full-bodied, soft carbonated. Caramel and fudge up front in the taste, grassy, floral, woody, and mild citrus bitterness follows. Well made!

Poured from bottle, hazy reddish brown with low head. Aroma sweet with notes of caramel, fudge, nuts and dried fruit. Taste not as sweet as you’d think, nice bitterness and dry finish. Notes of dark bread, some syrup, herbs.
