COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ausgezeichnet: “Schweizer Bier des Jahres” Solothurner Biertage 2010 Name: Aemme Brauart: Untergärig Stammwürze: 12,8 % Alkoholgehalt: 5,3 % vol Zutaten: Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Hopfen, Hefe Saison: Ganzjährig

UPDATED: APR 30, 2021 I have picked up this beer, at the coop city Bern. Trying it, at home, Epalinges, two days ago with my wife. The body is brown and clear, regular carbonation, white and brown foam. A classical of classical, on the German way. This product is not bad but there is a lack of aromas and it is watery, smooth, bready, a little side of sweetness, malty, not so hoppy for the style, even though is smooth and refreshing.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2019 From tap at Bierschiff Thun. Copper color with an off-white head. The aroma starts a little soapy and nearly moldy followed by toasted malt, some sugar, honey, toffee, butter - not the most pleasant smell. Medium body with a light sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is lightly to medium malty with toasted bread, toffee, hints of caramel and honey. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness. I did not like the smell but the flavor was decent. Bouteille: Copper coloured with a ruby sheen, hazy, quite quickly collapsing loose off-white head; moderate sweetish bitter nutty and lemony- fruity nose, low bitterness in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and quite soft; slightly drier bitter-sweet malty-fruity finish. Well made and very good - by Swiss standards...

Drinks of the World, Bern: Pours amber with a nice white head. Aroma is light caramel. Taste is pretty nice, being lightly sweet. Not too complex, but very well balanced and very pleasant. I regret I didn’t get their other beers, but the shop in Geneva did not have them for sale.
