COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fruity beer with rich taste made by packaging "Weizen", the traditional beer in the South Germany made of over 50 % of wheat malt, without filtering beer yeast.
Note: This beer comes in the can, pictured at left, and in a new bottle that is labeled "Silver Bottle." US Import listed as "Plateau of the Galaxy" on back label.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2022 300ml blue bottle (as The plateau of the Galaxy), drank on 21st January 2022 at my daughters in Laguna Hills. Poured into an old Licher Weizen glass that I gave my son-in-law years ago. Interesting beer really, hazed light orange body, full white crown. It has an orange, wheaty and herbal aroma, some cloves also trying to get involved. Taste also came across with the same things, oranges, wheat, cloves and other herbs blending in. I have certainly had worse Hefeweizen than this offering.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2020 I Rather aged sample /I Hazy orange-yellow beer, not very carbonated, head gone in an eyeblink. Wheat, bit of banana, bit of orange, some clove, but very mineral, seaweed, algae. More of the same, if more banana, more clove, more orange and less seaweed. Still mineral flavour. Very low carbonation, and lame presence overall - certainly if this must be a Hefe! - Bit wheatslick, very faint burnign feel. Accuses its age, but probably not very shining from the start. I Thanks to Stef! /I

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2020 Bottle - blue with reindeer on it. Cloudy gold with a white head that lasts OK. Wheaty aroma with cloves, lemon, a little banana. The texture is just right - bready but still light with medium high carbonation. Slightly tangy wheaty with a dry and spicy finish. Not much of the spruiked fruit and perhaps not as deeply refreshing as some, but a more than solid hefeweizen.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2019 Can from the supermarket . Cloudy, light orange white head. Clove, a hint of banana. Relatively dry, spicy, not as heavy as the Bavarian versions. One of the better Weizen I have had.

BeardedAvenger (7331) - New Haw, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2019 Bottle from an online Asian supermarket. Extra marks for the attractive blue bottle. Cloves to the forefront alongside citrus. A banana aroma lurks in the background. Cloudy gold. Frothy translucent white head soon shrunk away. Initial citrus sourness - quite tart. There's an underlying sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Low key fizzy carbonation. Dty finish with an edge of astringency. This as been sat forgotten at work so thought it may have faded but a refreshing Hefe which I could easily have downed on this hot summer day.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2018 The Silver Bottle version. Pours cloudy with little white head. Tastes little cloves and spices. A fine but not impressive hefe.

Bottle, 300ml, as Silver Bottle. A cloudy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of plum, coriander, white chocolate, elderflower. Unusual. Flavour has soft citrus and wheat. Light carbonation. Smooth and tasty, a respectable hefe.

Sakakibara (47) - Bratislava, SLOVAKIA - JUL 22, 2018
UPDATED: JUL 22, 2018 Can. Hazy yellow color. Thick white head, but falls quickly. Typical aroma, maybe not that prominent. Taste is good, but palate could be better. Too carbonated for me. Overall nice and drinkable beer.

Weird 33cl blue glass bottle at Haikan in DC. Drank from the bottle, so who knows. Nose is medium esters, what you expect, bubblegum and clove, some orange and grass too. Flavor is tpale grist and dough, orange, clove, banana, chewed bubblegum. Finishes off dry. Fine.

Bought the Silver Bottle version (which is actually in a nice blue bottle) at Shilla, a Japanese/Korean grocery in Amsterdam. Opaque. Light peach colour. Thin head. Aroma is yeast and tangerines. Taste is cloves, orange, and a tin bit of spice.
