COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What’s better than beer for breakfast? How about a little Morning Wood. This Imperial version of Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is aged in Bourbon barrels for months, lending smoothness to the smokey, salty, rich combo of maple syrup, fresh roasted coffee, and bacon.

THIS IS NOT THE SAME ENTRY AS WIDE AWAKE IT’S MORNING - Bourbon Aged.
This beer was aged in bourbon barrels, while Wide Awake It’s Morning - Bourbon Aged was aged on Buffalo Trace soaked oak cubes

AWISLguy (7119) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 29, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2021 650ml bottle from Bottle Shock in Port St Lucie, cellared for 28 months and served colder than cellar temperature. For my 5500th rating! Pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is excellent; maple, roast, chocolate, sweet caramel, and barrel. Taste is equally good, the maple and barrel are actually more melded in, so the chocolate is as big a flavor lead. Terrific for balance, and atypical for either maple or barrel to blend, instead of leading. Perhaps due to the cellaring?? Medium to full bodied, there is a bit of an alcohol presence, and the blend is superb. Finishes sweeter than bittersweet, with depth. The barrel does still control the end. Love this! Even at the 1.22 cent per ounce price point, should've gotten more. 17.7
