500ml bottle conditioned - a deep amber colour, thin white head, a bit fizzy. Nice caramel nose, similar taste, The fizz gives a refreshing edge to an old ale taste. Not the best, but not bad.

Light haze on this gold - amber beer. No real head. Light dry malt with a whisper of spice. Softish dry finish, trace of banana. Mild hop aftertaste. Okay.

worldbeertaste (1845) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2012
Clear gold with a thin white lacy head. Oily. Smells of malt, roast spice and alcohol. Frothy oily medium body. Strong taste of alcohol. sweet malt and straw and a dry hay finish. Stong hops with huge grass alcohol finish. Its not very good and overly alcoholic.

I think I can best sum this up by suggesting a basic Belgian strong ale. 500 ml bottle served in a trappist glass cellar cool. Clear golden colour, not much head, little hop flavour, but a fairly pleasant malt, alcohol and mild spice flavour. Notworld beating, but well wort the £1 I paid.

tommann (7123) - Stourbridge, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2010
500ml bottle. Pours an off-golden colour with no head. Barely any carbonation. Aroma is of alcohol and resin. Taste is of apples and some sourness. Light body and watery, probably due to a lack of carbonation. Some bitter in the finish. Hides its alcohol. Could be a good beer.

Bottle. Orange with a small head.Low carbonation and fairly lifeless. Bitter with some hops. To be honest I expected better.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from B&M, Southport. Cloudy orange gold with no head. Sweet, bready, yeasty with bottling issues, some apple tartness and a rawish malt note. Few hop notes.
