COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beast of a imperial stout! Nacht & Ontij matured almost a year on Cognac barrels. The beer has eased down a lot. A divine brew.

On tap @ Borefts 2012. This is a dark deep brown one with a small bubbly almost transparent brown top. Lovely cognac-barrel aroma here. Some alcohol and sweet roasted malts. Strong dark licorice and nutty chocolate tones. Smells really nice this. it's definitely warming the old stomach this but not in an alcoholic way. Woody dry in the flavor with tones of oak, vanilla and hedge. Really dry finish. No noticeable alcohol in this. Enjoyable all the way! 30.09.2012

33 cl bottle (filled to the rim) @ home, bottled Sept. 2012. Black color. Light brown head, not much and quickly disappearing. Aroma’s of booze, fruit, cognac, light umami. Retronasal it’s fruit, sweet, wood, light cognac/vinous, not so boozy. Flavor is moderate sweet, chocolatey, boozy. Alcohol is warming. Body is medium. Low carbonation. Finishes with light roast, bitter chocolate. Probably a bit past its prime, but still very enjoyable.
