UPDATED: DEC 24, 2023 Can. Edition 8.0, the final mash. Unfortunately the last beer of SNAB, once pioneers in the Dutch Craft beer scene. Color: Slightly hazy amber, beige head. Aroma: Spicy, pumpkin. Taste: Very spicy. Clove, cinnamon, ginger. Pumpkin background. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sweet, light to moderate bitterness. Spicy winter warmer. Ok.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2019 Bottle with 7.0 version, pouring hazy amber with tan head, retaining not so well. Aroma is first (after opening) red fruit ?!, later come up the spices, speculaas, nutmeg, clove. Taste also spices, but not too much; medium sweet, moderate bitter; well in balance. Strong carbo, rather full body, sometimes a bit alco feel. Quite nice!

Amber color with a sticky off white head. Nice pie spice nose of nutmeg and cinnamon. This drinks light for a spiced pumpkin ale. It has the traditional spice package with a soft mouthfeel and no indication of the claimed 9% abv. Deceptively easy drinking beer.

33cl bottle at proeflokaal Mout in Groningen. Pours a clear red orange colour with a long lasting off white head. Aroma of spices, speculaas, pumpkin, slight, vegetables, slight malty. Taste is medium sweet, moderate bitter with a moderate dry finish. Notes of spices, speculaas, cinnamon, pumpkin, malt, slight hoppy. Texture is oily to creamy, medium bodied with medium carbonation

33cl bottle at home. Pours a slight hazy brown orange colour with a small white head which depletes fairly quick and leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of pumpkin, caramel, bayleaf, thyme, cinnamon and other spices. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a warming finish. Notes of pumpkin, spices, slight leathery, caramel, malts. sticky texture, medium to full bodied with average carbonation.

What's with all the bad ratings? This is a really nice and easy-going pumpkin ale. Pumpkin is very forward, but really nice, nicely combined with all the spices. Really good.
