FROTHINGSLOSH (15634) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2016
Sampled on draft this beer poured almost black with a medium sized foamy beige head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint with wood, coffee and chocolate. The flavor was toasty with wood, coffee and cocoa followed by floral hops. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Rate #1600! 32 oz growler poured into a 3 Stars snifter/tulip. Birthday gift from a friend who picked this up on draft at the brewery, thanks Ben! Filled on 11/16/2014, opened/consumed on 11/17/2014. Black with no more than half a finger of light tan head that fades quickly. Aromas of dark chocolate, chocolate syrup, some vanilla, just a hint of booze. Tastes of big chocolaty notes including dark chocolate and chocolate syrup, caramel, a bit of vanilla. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Alcohol is pretty well masked. Had this on cask awhile ago but this is better than I remember!

12oz pour in the tasting room pours a muddy, deep brown with a ring of white head. Nose is like straight hershey syrup, some mild raspberry, some mild vanilla. Flavor is straight cocoa powder, a little bready, some root beer. Chalky finish.

3 Stars Ebony & Ivory hits the notes to make for an excellent ale. Chocolate and malt aroma coming from this dark brown pour with a decent tan head. Chocolate flavors dominate with some coffee and vanilla notes. The higher ABV smooths out this delicious brew without emparting an alcohol bite. Ebony & Ivory is a treat to be had.

Brownish red pour. A little bit of a trash-like aroma on cask. Some roast, vanilla and light cocoa. Watery consistency. Cask at Pizzeria Paradiso in Dupont.

Cask at Big Hunt. Great brown flavor with a good bit of alcohol. The cocoa makes it bitter but in the right way and the vanilla adds some sweetness.

On cask. Aroma of dark chocolate. Thin soda like head and mouth feel. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla and spice. Marvelous!
