Bottle. [thank you sooo much, Skortila]
Vintage 2004, even though the bottle was cracked, the beer was still VERY great
Pours a deep red blackish with an initially fizzy head that settles as a rather little frothy brown-beige one. Aroma has slight chocolate, lots of vanilla, some fruity port-wine feel. Wow! what a flavour! Some coffee, lots of dark, creamy chocolate, cocoa and a dry bitter hops and roasted finish. Nicely vinious and very warming. The liquid sticks to my teeth and cheeks. Wonderfully balanced and with a wonderfully long aftertaste, where chocolate and bitter hops dance nicely ’round the pale moonlight :o). I am so thankful for the chance to taste this, Jos! thanks a bunch!

Bottle at Jbru´s, march 07. Full chocolate, vanilla aroma. Wonderfull. Full charcoal, chocolate, cacao and a touch of brandy flavor and a cigar-like ending. Smooth, milky MF and port like richiness. Brown-ruby color and a medium light tan head. Beatifull, good smelling and warming.

jbrus (4986) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2006
Bottled, 2004 vintage. Strong coffee and chocolat aroma with hints of licorice and blakcurrant when warming up. Black color, fine light brown head, very nice lace. Light sweet, roasted, coffee, coffee liquor, bitter, chocolat, black currant and more. Very complex flavor and strong flavors as well but not into the extreme. Medium body, bit dusty. Flavor lasts very long, very well balanced, alcohol pretty much hidden. Just wonderful. Thank you Savad for giving me this bottle.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Vintage 2004. Very dark brown with a tasteful reddish hue - almost mahogany coloured perhaps. Nice, beige head which never collapses completely. Very, very pretty appearance actually. Appears almost clear while standing a while, but has a huge sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Very chocolatey nose. Very malty flavours, somewhat sweet yet with a rather dry finish. Extremely complex and very delicious.200605

I had never heard about his one before, when Ungstrup pulled it out of the closet. Because of the name I expected some kind of an ordinary Belgian ale, but what a nice surprise this was!! Pours dark brown with a tall and foamy long lasting light brown head. Lovely roasted aroma with plenty of malt, chocolate, coffee and toffee. Full and sweet and complex with a tone of alcohol. Flavor is dominated by coffee and a dark roasted tone. Lots of bitter hops in the finish. Sharp and biding on the tongue with a nice warming bite of alcohol. A really good stout!

Ungstrup (51384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2004
A red-brown beer with a huge chocolate brown head. The aroma is totally dominated by chocolate. The flavor is sweet with lots of chocolate, wood, fruit, prunes, and a dry end.
