COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The La Tentation blends three different kinds of fermentation. It’s a Saison recipe that is first fermented with Dupont yeasts, followed by a second fermentation with Belgian witbier yeast which has spent one year maturing in oak barrels. The final part of the fermentation comes from wild yeasts from an orchard at the foot of the Jura Mountains. The yeasts and bacteria found naturally on the skin of native Reinette Blanche apples, coupled with months of barrel aging gives the La Tentation a very refreshing acidity. This acidity is balanced by apple fruitiness and hop bitterness, which is characteristic of old-style Saison. Let yourself be tented !

15/IV/18 - sample @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2018-388) Thanks to 77ships and Rubin77 for sharing today's beers!

Clear pale yellowish beer, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, bit acidic, lemony, bit yeasty, some hay, little malty. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, lemony, acidic, little fruity, some apples, very acidic, some tannins. Aftertaste: more sour apples, very dry, mouth puckering acidity, lemon juice, sour finish. Too much acidity going on in this...

czar (14997) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 12, 2018
bottle from pivot importation. pours unclear light gold with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. tart if not sour green apples, oaked strong cider, very green almost sulphuric and lightly bitter herbs, cider vinegar as there are lots of acetic peaks; lots of minerals. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; sharp if not puckering woodsy-lemony finish. more affinities with oak-aged cider vinegar than saison/cider blend. a tough one to swallow but it's still quite nice.

Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Rubin77. 750 ml. bottled sampled @ LIBF 2017. Hazy golden, little white head. Nose is cider but also bit too soapy, dirty, vinegar, white grape. Bit too soapy with massive sour apple, vinegar, acidic, white grape,… Puckering soap, not perfect but interesting & nice beer for sure.

Whew, this is tart. The pinot sours it up, and it becomes a pure sipper. Used as a cleanser between the rest of the beers in the sample (mostly hop heavy beers). More i sip this the less i like it.
