Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 28, 2014
draught@Erzbierschof - pours a dark ruby-brown beer under a solid dark beige foam; toasted malty nose with notes of cacao along with a fruity hoppiness (plums dominate); full-bodied, sweet and tasty, velvety palate, fairly bitter and with a light residual sweetness, more long chocolatey malty notes in the finish, long lasting - balanced and deeply pleasant

Bière brune limite avec un col de mousse beige. Nez de fruits et de café. Belle amertume, goput de pain grillé et de café. Pas mal.

maneliquor (3513) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 22, 2013
Tap at CBC Brixton. Black pour with a small tan head leaving spotty lacing. Nose is full of heavily roasted coffee and piney hops. A light blueberry note with hints of ash too. Taste is heavy roast and ash, almost cigar like with the dirty ashy feel on the finish. Touch of zest and citric fruits behind the burnt malts. Big grapefruit with that sour twinge hint you get with heavily hopped beers. Prickly carbonation with a hint of alcohol. Solid stuff but too much focus on the malts for me. Not quite enough balance

Scopey (24213) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - SEP 29, 2013
Keg at Craft Islington. It pours deep ruby with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, roasty, jammy, light balsamic vinegar, dark fruit and berry. The taste is roasted malt, ash, decent bitterness, peppery, resinous, coffee, astringency and burnt notes with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit brash and rough around the edges. OK.

Theydon_Bois (40594) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2013
Keg at Craft Islington, 19/09/13. Light black with a thin tan head that clears to a swirl then retains. Nose is light roast, treacle toffee, faint pine, light fart. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, hint of chocolate, light roast, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little spritz, sweet finish. Ok drinkable affair but not the best CDA, not enough pine or hop presence.
