juiceisloose (3847) - Windermere, Florida, USA - MAR 26, 2021UPDATED: MAR 26, 2021 16 oz can. Pours nearly black in color with some mahogany at the edges and capped by a small beige layer of foam that fades quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of dark chocolate, earthy roasted coffee, and toasted caramel over a dark roasted malt base. The flavor follows suit with notes of dried, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and toasted caramel to go with the dark malts and a firm roasted bitterness on the back end. Medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation that leads to a bitter sweet and slightly dry, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and touch of caramel on the finish. I don’t really get any donut flavor in this but the coffee and dark chocolate notes are really solid and play off each other nicely.
zizzybalubba (2214) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 2, 2020UPDATED: JUN 12, 2021 16 oz. can from Burial (The Exhibit), Raleigh, NC (canned May 21, 2021). Listed as 8% ABV on the can. Dark brown cola-like pour with a short khaki head. Big coffee aroma. Taste features chocolate cake, coffee, and molasses. Mild bitter finish with a touch of sweetness. A very well done flavored stout. (Replaces a review from September 1, 2020; canned May 15, 2020. I wanted to replace my review with a fresher can but in reading through my previous notes and score nothing is really changed. Glad to know it holds up well for a few months.)
thegreenrooster (6940) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 26, 2020UPDATED: JAN 26, 2020 Pour is a black with a large foamy tan head. Aroma is a decent amount of roast and coffee. Flavor is a real nice roasted coffee and malt with some lactose sweetness at the end. Not much of a donut here but this has plenty of roasted malt and coffee to go around. Sweet but flavorful.

lavaaaron (3607) - - JUN 19, 2019UPDATED: JUN 19, 2019 Draft pour. Deep dark brown, no head. Full on coffee aroma. They nailed the flavors on this, it’s like drinking coffee, everything is perfectly balanced. Flavors of coffee, chocolate and a barely there hint of sweetness. Flavors are nice up front and at the end. Well done.
