COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
DIPA with massive malt backbone, hopped with Galena, Chinook, Pacific Jade and Simcoe in the kettle, and two dry hop additions to boot! Massive pine-wood aromas up front with a hint of exotic spice in the background. Big bitterness of 132 IBUís provides a soft, lingering bite, balanced by the 8.5% ABV.

Sh** motherf***er did Vinnie rebrand Pliny the Motherf***ing Elder as Foam and Motherf***ing Fury? This beer has both of the key elements of beer: foam and fury. It is more surly and furious than Surly Furious, and you donít have to go to motherf***ing Minneapolis to tick it. Ireland, which is a legit country if you havenít been. Got it on cask, mildly hazy copper with a bit of foam like the wild oceans off the Galway coast. Surf is motherf***ing up. The aroma assaults your olfactory passages with something mind blowing: HOPS!!!!!! Hops and some malt. The flavor is freaking brilliant. This is a west coast IPA: west coast of Ireland that is. Who needs America when there are beers like this? Just kidding, I love America, but this is good. Clean sweet malt that explodes into ho - wait for it - ps! Hops! Like a pine forest full of flowers and grapefruits. Lots of pine, enough that it screams, "MR. CLEAN AINíT GOT SH*T ON ME!!!" Piney fresh flavor for days, fool. Donít get me started on the mouthfeel. Oily, slick as the Gulf of Mexico disaster, enough to f*** up some fish big-time! Not much carb because itís cask, obviously. Galway Bay comes up big with this one with a big olí, "F*** Guiness!", or stealing a page from Samuel Lís playbook, "Iíve HAD IT with these motherf***ing beers in this motherf***ing country!" Ireland is a land where you need have no ire because now you have beers like this. Tick D out.

Definitely the best and first proper DIPA thatís being brewed in Irelamd at the moment. The guys at GBB have really got a monster on their hands. Fantastic nose full of citrus fruits. Loads of hops in the mouth but not overly bitter due to the massive malt back bone and itís 8.5%. Itís supposed to be 135IBUís but you could never tell. This one is a keeper. My favorite of the moment hands down.

Excellent beer, by Irish standards. Smells really dank (bottle less than a month old), pithy/citrus. You just know youíre in for a treat from the nose alone. Appearance is hazy orange with minimal lacing. The Simcoe is really apparent in the taste, this is one bitter beer! Thereís enough hops used to make this nowhere near sweet or cloying! Really refreshing. Mouthfeel is viscous, syrupy. Very nice, doesnít quite belie its ABV though. Overall a very, very solid gem in the rough! Probably one of the best, if not best beers in Ireland right now.

Bottle at home from drinkstore
hazy dark amber with mango, slight yoghurt notes and orange pith. Frothy beige head. Medium body, pithy piney bitterness. Robust, bitter, mango peel, chalky notes, rich fruity finish. Excellent well balanced DIPA. I see why its been so well received.

Proper Imperial thank God, not an imitation. Color was caramel and hints of orange, small white head that was gone quickly. Some soapy notes in the aroma along with the chewy juicy hops. Solid malt backbone here as well but the hops are really in the forefront. Nice crisp finish, oily hop resin that stays on the back of the tongue.
