rproff78 (177) - - MAY 9, 2015Very good porter from my favorite brewery. Come to Montana and try the beer once you're here.
harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 24, 2013I’ve had this beer a few times, and it continues to be good.
A: pours a dark, nearly black ale with not allowance of light passage until you’re down to the last ounce or two, then it’s a dark maduro color. Single finger, latte head falls in a minute or two and leaves a thin sheet of the same.
S: Nutty, malty, coffee hide in here. The hemp oil changes the texture of the nose. Very nice. Some hints of graham, flour.
T: Dried coffee grounds, cocoa, hazelnuts; a nice malt baseline and the hemp oil creates the slightest resin flavor. A bit woody.
M: Medium to heavy body with medium carbonation. The feel is silky, smooth and the finish is the same slickness.
O: My favorite beer coming out of Missoula. Outstanding. If Kettlehouse was really thinking, they would can this rather than some of their others.
Serving type: growler

riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 8, 2012Nice roasted malts and herbal hemp notes. Pours dark brown, nice tannish head. Lasting and good lace. Flavors of roasted malts, a light sweetness, earthy dryness, light herbal qualities from the hemp. Nice and dry. Well carbonated, good drinkability. Solid house porter with an interesting twist.
Teton_Mike (10) - - MAR 22, 2012On nitro at southside taproom. Pours dark chocolate brown with one inch of solid, creamy tan head. Aroma is in your face coffee and malts, hints of hemp oil. Flavor is wonderfully balanced dark roasted malts and hops. Wonderfully smooth mouthfeel, if anything just a little too much lingering sweet for a porter. A solid choice if wanting to check out kettlehouse.
