COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: It was a true Texan invasion when Jester King came to Amager. We honestly lost count but we believe at least 8 or 9 of these cowboys came riding in - dragging their suitcase rollers along. And we didn’t put up much of a fight since it was the day after the Copenhagen Beer Celebration party. Morten fell asleep in the malt room and Jacob pretty much fell asleep leaning against the mash tun while mashing in. René? Well, we never saw René that day. Oh yes, we were beat. Dead meat we were. Crooked Stave came by, so did The Kernel and Off Color Brewing - or was it somebody else? Sorry, we totally lost track. But Manker was here….we think. But a beer was indeed brewed in this massive state of being wasted, and a bit of a beast it is. We took the original version of Jester King’s Black Metal - the one with a British ale yeast - and gave it a bit of a Danish spin. Hence Danish Metal was born. It’s rich and potent and powerful - just like a Texas steak. Or something. But we’re babbling. We’ll shut up now. Sorry.

Ingredienser: Vand. Malt: Maris Otter, Caramunich, Brown, Black, Roasted barley, Chocolate, Carafa 3, Dark Crystal. Humle: Polaris. Sukker. Gær: UK-ale

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2023 Bottled@SBWF2014. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some tar, mild roasted and ashy tones as well as some chocolate. Flavour is liquorice, chocolate, some berries, cocoa and mild vanilla and wood to it. Smootly balanced and good sipper. Hides the abv rather well. Sneaky.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2021 Solid american style stout with hop flavour still contributing good bitterness. Via Quebec.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2021 Bottle from Knightly Spirits in Orlando, FL. Aroma is malts, light soy sauce, sweet jerky sauce. Taste is dry, malty, chocolate / cocoa, tangy but still dry. A bit reserved and not quite composed (no particular flavor profile), especially considering these heavyweights.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2020 (Bottle) Pitch black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, strong sweet coffee, black rye bread, cark chocolate, burnt sugar and tobacco. Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet espresso, liquorice, black rye bread, dark chocolate, tobacco, treacle and a generous coffee/cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, quite sweet. A bit too sweet and hardly balanced, but tasty and warming. Nice one.

Pours thick black with tiny, dark tan head. Aroma is molasses, coffee and roast. Taste is brown sugar and light raisin, moving to espresso and roast. Finish is roast. A tasty imperial stout.

Another interesting bottle design.. Smell - medium strong to strong, roast, dark chocolate, coffee. Foam - medium thick, soft, almost to thin side, some roast and sweetness tones, together with coffee. Taste - roast, bitterness, coffee, chocolate, some bitterness in aftertaste, some alcohol notes. Another good one, bit too much bitterness in after taste though.

Tap, half pint. Tasted on the 16/02/2018 at "Bandullo", Santiago de Compostela (Galicia). Opaque dark brown colour with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, wood, roasted malts and cocoa nibs. Taste is intense roasty and ashy. Presence of wood, bourbon, roasted malts, molasses and chocolate. Medium bitter finish. Next one please!

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2018 Deliciosamente integrada; 10% que pasa desapercibido. Poca y correcta carbonatacion. Se agradece que no es una de esas stout que tiene que vender chocolate o regaliz a granel para disimular oficio. Elegancia. Caramelo. Terciopelo negro.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, roasted dark malt, roasted coffee, good bitterness and alcohol. Full bodied and aftertaste in the same direction. Quite nice but I don’t think its outstanding in any way, a bit too sweet, boozy and actually a bit antonymous besides the sweetness and alcohol.

Piwo z gaszingiem piana rośnie wylata, po chwili znika do prawie zera. Aromat palone słody, czekolada, lekko owoce, ubogi.
