On tap at Hunah Day. Pours a clear orange gold with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit, dank, resin, melon. Medium body, flavors dont match tropical nose, a bit malty, light resin finish, good.

On tap at Hunahpu Day. Bright orange. Medium white head. Smell is bright citrus. Pine. A little dank. Taste is citrus hops. Resiny pine. Cracker malt. Low bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Well carbonated. I expected great things, but it wasn’t really that remarkable. Good, of course, cuz it’s TG.

On tap at Dexter’s in Madison. I thought it was pretty good. Definitely, not the best TG IIPA. Very bitter with hints of citrus and a sweet malty body.

Growler shared with oakbluff. Orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of strong mandarin orange, melon, pale malt, and cut grass. Loads of sweet citrus upfront on the palate, backed by chocolate mint, pale and caramel malts, and a bit of chalk. Medium bitterness, but a bit heavier bodied than I would like for the style.

Tap at Brickhouse. $6.00 pint. Juicy, earthy hops, some caramel. Filtered orange-tan body, off-white lacy head. A little more earthy caramel, toffee tones than I like in a IIPA, but still solid. Earthy, not super hoppy. Juicy honey sweet golden malt. Earthy hops. OK.

Draft on tap at Dark Lord Day 2015 (Munster, IN). Another good guest beer find. Pours a hazy dulled golden amber hue, some gentle golden harvest glow and brighter whitish head atop. Soapy and firm, a decent layer sits atop and laces well enough. Aromas are potent, bitter and floral. Jabs of citrus, mellow pithy rind and touches of pizza spice. Florals, earth, bready malts and gentle earth. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter and grainy with some firmer hop presence. Florals, some jabby citrus and tropical fruit. Touches of stale grains, a fleeting hop presence that hits strong up front and fades off quickly. Earth, bready malts and touches of straw hit some decent citrus, muddled hop complexity. Overall, this hits firmly up front and then sinks like a rock for me. A bit bitter and dry, the body stays clean like I like it and doesn’t get in the way much as is the MO for TG DIPAs but the hop profile here starts with a roar and then doesn’t finish, lacking bitter life or complexity as we round out. A nice enough DIPA that starts with a lot of promise, bright nose and good fruity elements and then tapers off. A lot better than most stuff out there but just not quite up to snuff.

Very good beer. It it weren’t for very slight off tastes in the finish, this brew would be dang close to perfect.

Growler thanks to Jimmy! Pours crystal clear orange, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is dank, onion, orange peel, pot. Flavor is light plus bitter and medium sweet, tropical, dank, orange, melon, honey. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel.

On tap at brewery. Decorah. Pours coppery orange on color. Transparent. Small white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is heavy on hops. Floral, "dank", and a touch citrus. Earthy notes I the background. Sweet malty background. Taste is sweet but pretty well balanced with bitterness. Body is medium-full. Smooth, rich texture. Long finish. Good, but I’m liking the glass of sue I have better .
