COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Den 11. april 2015 ble Østfoldmesterskapet i hjemmebrygging arrangert på Losen i Larkollen. Vinneren i kategorien "Proffens favoritt" ble Anders Refsahl, og dette er hans øl. Norsk Amerikaner er en blonde ale, humlet med amerikansk humle, og gjæret med Norwegian Farmhouse Ale (WLP6788) fra Muri gård på Stryn som ble rendyrket og produsert av White Labs i USA.

April 11th 2015 the Østfold championship in home brewing were held on Losen in Larkollen. The winner in the "favourite of the pro’s"-category was Anders Refsahl, and this is his beer. Norsk Amerikaner (Norwegian American) is a blonde ale, hopped with American hops and fermented with the Norwegian Farmhouse Ale strain (WLP6788) from the Muri farm on Stryn, produced by White Labs in the USA.

Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, fruity hops, grass, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160806]

Aroma of fruits, herbs, spices, yeast, hay and citrus. Pale golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Light to medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a very refreshing beer, a bit thin, but OK for the ABV and style. Nice summer drink i think.

Light hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is herbal, fruity with lemon, hay, some floral notes and biscuit. Taste is light sweet, crisp bitterness. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation. Light sweetness with cereal and som fruity notes, citrus and slight chalky bitterness with a lingering dry note.
