COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this version of Arthur was aged for many months in our puncheons--not quite Arthur, not quite Art, but magical all the same. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2023 37,5cl fles. Licht wazig blond bier zonder schuim. Geur: licht geparfumeerd, fruitig, citrus. Smaak: licht zuur, bitterheid, sinaasappel zeste, licht wrang gevoel. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Blij dat ik het kon proeven, maar een top-50 bier?

brokensail (21480) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 7, 2022
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2022 Bottle @ Mike's. Cloudy golden beer with a white head. Light funk of mushroom and wet wood on the nose. Maybe a bit yeasty, too. Mild sweetness of vanilla, grape, and bready malt. There's some nice lemon and lime tartness to this along with oak, berry, and maybe a hint of guava. Very mildly bitter on the finish. Well done beer.

phaleslu (16538) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2021 375 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and island of film. Notes of pear, lemon, white grapes, oak, bready and pale malts, and minerals. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a soft, tart mouthfeel. Really nice.

bytemesis (15325) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 29, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2021 Bottle. Slight gusher on opening; I am glad I did not wait on this one any longer. Pours a clear golden with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma is a bit funky, yet delicate, lemon, a bit of feet, oak. Flavor is light tart, light plus funk. Light body, soft HF trademark mouthfeel. Great beer, but honestly I am happy with regular Arthur at a fraction of the cost.
