bellco33 (882) - Willington, Connecticut, USA - MAR 7, 2017On tap at the brewery: Pours golden with a foamy white head. Aroma of cereal malts, grass, herbal, light citrus. Taste more of the same, kind of a cross between a pils and an IPA. Very grassy, medium body, really tasty.
Drake (21771) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2015New England Bucket List Trip #182. Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy golden with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of dank, herbal hops and grainy malt. The taste is noble, herbal hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, well balanced.
Reynolds314 (3472) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 10, 2014Nebco crushing it per usual. Really nice noble hopped spicy ipa with floral, and grassy herbal hoppiness with a nice toasty and nutty malt background. Not your traditional IPA at all and thats why it rocks.
Ernesto987 (6082) - Arizona, USA - MAY 8, 2014Rich and biscuity, toasty, rich grassy and herbal hops. Fantastic malt flavors and overly hopped
davey101 (752) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 6, 201464 oz growler into a tulip. Pours a hazy golden amber with thick sudsy white foam that clings forever. Looks like most hoppy NEBCO offerings. Nose is really unique and amazing. That typical English hop quality of grass, earth, and floral notes. Beyond that is a huge sweetness of caramel that ends in an almost zesty way, like a lemon or lime. Faint oak and vanilla to round it out. Really great. The flavor doesn’t quite match up though. English hops; floral and grassy with a moderate bitterness. Caramel malts and some wood on the finish, Smooth and easy drinking. Medium bodied and creamy. A pretty unique offering that I wish wasn’t so rare. However it’s not NEBCO’s best.
merc7186 (3160) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2013A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing
S: Floral, Mild Citrus, Mild Oakey
T: Floral, Citrus, Grainy
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Bitter, Mildly Drying
Overall, very hoppy and grainy for ’american strong ale’...more like an IPA.
jkwood04 (5987) - Connecticut, USA - APR 8, 2013Growler in a tulip. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of a lot of floral hops, some pale and caramel hops, and some dough. Flavor the same, with a lot of hops for the hops used. Average texture. A good IPA.
Thorpe429 (5032) - , Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2011Big thanks to woosterbill for this one. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a nice, deep golden color with a good white head. Nose brings some really strong earthy, herbal, and lightly-citric hops. Really, really nice. Taste is along the same lines with a bit of earthy and floral characteristics plus a good deal of pine and some slight citrus. This is a cacophony of hops without any one type really dominating. Slight bready notes. Great bitterness levels and a bit dry. I was not at all impressed with Sea Hag, but this showed me that when they try, NEBC can really bring the hop attack.

This was listed as a "hoppy maibock"Nice amber and orange color with a thin head. Very fresh puney hop aroma with some citrus notes. Mild bitter flavor. Medium body. Paired well with the meatloaf that had smokey bacon in it.
