PowY (4562) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - FEB 2, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2019 330 ml bottle at home, bb. 20.9.2019. Pours a dark chestnut brown with an off-white head. The aroma is medium hoppy and lighty malty - lots of pine, orange, perfume, toffee, chocolate. Medium body with an average carbonation and a light to medium bitterness. The flavor is less hoppy than the smell - some pine and grapefruit - with some roasted malt in the back. Finishes with pine and a medium hoppy bitterness. I hoped for more hop flavors after the smell. Overall a little thin, yet decent. Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 7 Palate: 3 Overall: 12

from Mühlistübli - almost black beer under a solid dark beige foam; nice lace; aroma of licorice and black cherries; a good malt backbone; fairly bitter, solid but subtle carbonation; quite juicy; long aftertaste of licorice and quinces - pretty nice

Craft Islington. Bottleshare. Thanks to Mr Tipple. Hazy dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, a mild creamy sweetness. Tangy dark chocolate streak. Tangy dark fruits and a little hop spice. Light dry finish. A little clunky but okay.
