tiong (17204) - Espoo, FINLAND - APR 21, 2024
UPDATED: APR 21, 2024 Malty, earthy and slightly syrupy with some raisins, caramel, prunes, mild hints of some tartish cherries and stingy woody barrel notes. A bit unbalanced, but still quite tasty

beerplace (8861) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2023 375ml (thx, Andrew!) @ Matt's new place during Andrew's visit. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: lots of bourbon barrels, dark sugars, and some dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, bourbon barrels, charred oak, and some cherries. Overall: good one.

Oakes (30719) - Richmond, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2023 Dark brown. No head. On the nose, all kinds of bourbon, nice chocolate, hazelnut liqueur. Burly alcohol. On the palate, has a nice old ale quality, a bit slick but a bit toasty. Maybe a bit thin. Nice nutty character, big bourbon, and a mellow vanilla to round it out. Yeah, that's really nice.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2023 Poured from 375mL bottle (bottled Jan 13, 2018 courtesy of andrewje41). Black with almost no beige head. Very nice bourbon, feint cherry quality, some mild dried fruit, hint of rum. Very nice.

mcberko (42066) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2023 375mL bottle, courtesy of andrewje41 (thanks buddy), pours jet black with a tiny beige head. Nose is rich and complex, with lots of dark dried fruits, decadent bourbon barrels, rum and other spirits. Flavour is rich with dark dried fruits, cherries, bourbon, rum, spirits, and booze. Wonderful blend, with some pleasant sherry-like oxidation. Maybe not world-class, but it's certainly excellent.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2021 Bottle at DRBT 10. Pours black with small beige head. The aroma is wood, brown sugar, toffee, cherry skin, bourbon. Slick body, roast, cocoa, vanilla, wood, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Bottle from trade. Pours a pitch black, thick inky consistency, light beige head... Aroma of dark chocolate, anise, coconut, bourbon barrel, dark fruits, raisins... Dark fruit forward initially on first taste, dark chocolate, prunes, raisins, cocoa, molasses, light bourbon notes on finish... Fantastic beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

MrOrla (4956) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 6, 2020 Bottle. Pours black with a small head. Aroma of roasted malts, dried fruits, licorice, boozy.a bit one dimensionel. Loads of lirocrice, toffee, dried fruit, quite some barrel, a bit thin character. The lack of toffee and deep dried fruits - is a bit annoyoing. But overallquite good.
