UPDATED: SEP 9, 2022 Can. Dark brown thick pour with a creamy beige head. Roasted malty espresso, dark cacao with some fruity and toffee sweetness, medium bitter. Good body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2021 16oz can picked up at Surdyks and consumed in pursuit of 2000 ratings. This one is 1999...one step closer to the milestone. Pours a motor oil black with tan head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, peat, and roasted nuttiness. Taste brings back memories of big, straightforward imperial stouts. There's a healthy dose of chocolate malts with a strong vanilla presence. There's no denying the alcohol element. Thick mouthfeel. Fudge cookies. Sweet but not to its detriment. Definitely a dessert treat beer. Highly enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2021 0,25L on tap @Ghetto Something, Koper, Slovenia. Pitch black color with quite big, creamy, light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, cocoa and roasted malts. Taste is smooth and light sweet with notes of chocolate, pudding, vanilla, caramel and touch of warmth at the end of the sip. Full bodied and rich, almost like eating a deset.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2021 16 oz can. Pours a pitch black color and topped by a small tan layer of foam that fades away quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows loads of dark chocolate, fudge, vanilla, and rolled oats over a dark roasted malt base with some booze. The flavor follows with the rich, dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted caramel, and rolled oats to go with the earth roast and a firm bitterness with some boozy warmth on the back end. Full bodied and smooth with soft carbonation that leads to a bitter sweet dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted caramel, and earthy roast on the finish with some lingering warmth from the alcohol. Really smooth with loads of depth and flavors in this one. Easy to see why this is the base beer for their barrel aged stuff. Good stuff for sure.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2020 Excellent double imperial stout, creamy and well integrated heat and milk. Thick quality chocolate. Old school, sweet though not overall sweet.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2020 Can at home. Pitch black, tan head. Lots of dark chocolate, roasted malts, oats, bit of fudge, lactose, quite sweet. Lots of things going on. Thick, heavy bodied, slow sipper. Pricey but quite good indeed. Purchased at Premier Gourmet
