UPDATED: MAY 8, 2024 Interesting beer name. Dark brown body with little to no head. Nose is roast, oak, whiskey. I notice some peat smoke in the flavor, I like that. Lighter carbonation. Actually tastes a bit thin at 10%. But that makes it less challenging to drink. Notice a warming coat down , but it takes a second to realize. Quite interesting and somewhat unique which slightly sets it apart from others in this style.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2024 13Dec2023 Rich, dark roast malts, cacao, chocolate, subtle oak, earthy. Hazy, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. Bitter, dark roast malts, cacao, chocolate, earthy, burnt notes, soft, very dry. Bottle at Craft Beer Junction, London.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2024 Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is cocoa, molasses and roast. Taste is chocolate and brown sugar moving to roast and peat. Finish is sweet chocolate, moving to roast and peat.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2024 Roast and light whiskey. Well balanced and understated. Even slightly watery on texture. Some coffee. Black pour with OK soap bubbles. Bitter finish with booze and some sweetness. Tap at Churchkey.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2024 Keg. Clear black color. Heavy roast, chocolate, plums, woody, alcohol in aroma/taste.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2024 Tap (Uba ja Humal, Tallinn) (7:4:6:3:12=3.2) Black, small tight tan head settles to a ring. Big rich sweet roasty aroma, toasted breadcrusts. Relatively light palate for 10% stout. Roasty taste, but a bit of sharpness spoils it. Nice breadcrusts again in the finish. A shame it's past its prime, it's nearly very good. Alcohol covered too. The warning signs were there, there were 3 half-drunk glasses of this at the table when I arrived.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2024 19th February 2024; Shrewsbury Gathering, five blokes and loads of beer to share. 500ml bottle from me (via KWM Wines). Black bodied, tanned foam on top. Nice malty brew with a decent but not overpowering Whiskey notes, nice, easy sipping Winter Warmer sort of beer.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2023 Black. Aroma is cocoa caramel syrup light booze coconut shell vanilla. Taste is light sweet chocolate with deep rich caramel. Huge boozy and woody vanilla-y finish. Despite being somewhat boozy an excellent flavourful Imperial Stout.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2023 Opaque black beer with a slight brown head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium/heavy sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Wood, whisky, caramel, dried fruit, chocolate and roasted malts. 7/5/8/4
