UPDATED: DEC 30, 2022 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a thick black with moderate sized beige head. Aroma of coffee, liquorice, roasted malt, caramel; some sweetness hinted at but suggestions it could be quite rich for a lager. Taste follows aroma, deep and flavourful, not overly rich but not your average sessionable dark lager either. Medium bodied, oily, soft carbonation, drying. I like it.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2020 33cl bottle thanks to @anstei and EuroSummerSanta '19. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma has liquorice and tar with hint of plum. Taste is bit watery followed with burnt and bitter aftertaste. Easy to drink and probably nice beer to pair with different meats.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2019 Aus der Flasche im 2014-06 getrunken. Dieses Schwarzbier kann gut und gerne als ein ausgewogenes, süffiges Stout durchgehen. Lecker!

Color negro con espuma de color tostado, buena duración y algo de encaje. Aroma a maltas tostadas, levemente caramelo quemado, y regaliz. Sabor ligeramente amargo, maltas asadas, notas torrefactas y regaliz. Final con leve dulzor, muy maltosa, notas torrefactas. Muy buena.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2018 500ml bottle. Dark brown black pour, tna head. Aroma is sherry, cocoa, oxidized, Flavor is cocoa powder, raisin, some sweetness, older bottle, hans't aged too too badly.

Für ein Dunkles hat es recht viele Röstaromen, was sich auf die Süße auswirkt. Es bleibt dadurch aber interessant, wenn es auch etwas wirr wirkt.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2018 Dark brown. Off-white head. Aroma is super malty. Taste is overly sweet caramel.
