degbert (1824) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 10, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2023 Can. Pours an opaque brown-black with a very high, medium grain, sticky tan head. Nose is quite mild, with a sort of Biscoff note to it. Neither very strong nor very sweet, this is a definite lightweight, almost into ESB territory rather than stout. I cannot taste any hazelnut at all. Slightly sour aftertaste. Drainpour.

Drake (21771) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2023 12 ounce can from The Wine Shop Depere, 9/2/23. Black, medium brown head, average retention. Aroma of hazelnut, roast. Taste is coffee, roast, chocolate, nuts. Lingering bitterness. Solid.

phaleslu (16566) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2021 12 oz. can from DrSilverworm, brought from Arrow Wine & Spirits - Mason. Thanks again, Chris! Pours a deep, dark, nearly opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into a thin ring and spotty island of film. Notes of peanut butter, fudge, hazelnut, dark chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, toasted brown sugar, tobacco, and earth. Light-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a roasty, semi-sweet, earthy, bitter mouthfeel. A little more body and carbonation would go a long way but it's still good.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2021 12oz can thanks to Phil, canned 9/30/21, drank from the can. Big hazelnut, nutty and earthy, comes off like peanut butter kind of. With the cocoa, flavor is like Nutella. Some caramel syrup. Moderate-plus sweet taste, light bitter. Long nutty and cocoa aftertaste. Medium-plus body, lightly chewy, soft lighter to moderate carbonation, lightly slick. Nice hazelnut cocoa stout.

FROTHINGSLOSH (15906) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2021 Exceptionally dark brown - almost black, with a medium sized foamy brown head. Semi sweet, toasty abs a bit woody with a strong hazelnut presence. Long finish. Moderately full bodied

Tmoney99 (21208) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 7, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2020 Draft. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt and hazelnut aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy rich sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy nut sweet finish of medium to long duration. This beer met my expectations.

Jow (7399) - The Hop, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 9, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2020 Hazelnuts and I have difficult relationship. I enjoy them on their own and abhor hazelnut coffee and then everything else that uses them falls somewhere in between. This is a rich bouquet of hazelnut and chocolate. Fine dark brown pour no carbonation to speak of. Tastes of creamy nuts and Chocolate and caramel and coffee. Smooth palate

drfabulous (15638) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - DEC 9, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2019 Draught at brewery. A dark pour with some rich hazelnut and chocolate notes to it. Not a big body but tasty.
