COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale Aged in Brandy Barrels. A Belgian-style quad quite regal in stature which was created through a one-half year maturation in five decade old American Brandy barrels. Barrels, which for five decades, silently absorbed the essences of residual sugars and prune-like character coupled with the subtleties of mellow oak tannins and rich, aged spirits. The Belgian nose finds wonderment in an American experience deftly crafted to be entirely unique. (from label) Malts: Pilsner, Munich, Caramel 80, Extra Special, Dark Candi Syrup Hops: Liberty and Horizon (from https://nebraskabrewingco.com/beer/responsibly-reserve-series)

alteregoo (4816) - Kalisz, POLAND - FEB 6, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2019 Piana obfita, średnio oczkowa, szybko opada do chmurki. Barwa rubinowa, klarowna. Aromat przyjemnie słodki i złożony - głównie nuty kandyzowanych owoców, fig, waniliny, melasy, ciemnego miodu i ziół... W smaku podobnie, dość słodkie, rodzynkowe, deserowe, gładziutkie, wręcz aksamitne, z ziołową, przyprawową goryczką, niewielką cierpkością oraz drewnianymi, waniliowymi i pikantnymi nutkami w aftertejsie. Alkohol fantastycznie ułożony, średnio wysycone, fajnie oleiste i pełne w odbiorze. Ogólnie klasa tekstura, piękne ułożenie całości i bardzo stylowa paleta, wzbogacona o nutki beczki - La Trappe, Chimay czy Firestone Walker nie powstydziłby się takiego quada!

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a mostly clear ruddy brown color with a small white head. A big boozy fruity nose. Rich dusty earthy notes, heat, sweet vinous barrel, sugary sweet base. Pretty good. Enjoyable.

Color is deep dark amber brown pour that opened with barely a hiss. A aggressive pour resulted in light head. The aroma is not bold, weak oak, cherry tannins, caramel candy hints. Some very mild yeast and rock candy. Still shows some booze. Pretty decent but I guess it needed some more age. The booze really stands out
