COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our version of the English classic; Stoudt's India Pale Ale has a rich amber color, a complex malty flavor, and an assertive hop character. This special ale is bottle conditioned and should continue to develop in character as it matures.

good aroma of hops. nice amber color, not too much head. very assertive hop flavor/bitterness, with solid body of malt to balance it out. not my favorite style, but this is a good version of it.

750ml bottle Y2K consumed in 2007, yes i should have know better. Amber body with a white foaming head. Hops were a bit soapy as to be expected. Caramel pine and some faint floral characteristics. Warm and malty. Eh.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep, slightly hazed red with a moderate off-white head that lasted though the first third of the glass and left partial lace. The aroma is grotesquely sweet. Sweet caramel, honey and rotting apples are all present in the nose. Thankfully, the flavor in no way resembles the aroma, although it is hard to escape without inhaling a bit with each sip. Caramel and malt up front followed by some musty apples. Light bitterness at the finish. Were it not for the off-putting aroma, this would be a decent IPA.

Bottle. Blind tasting. A dark amber beer with a off-white head. Makt, fruit and a great balanced hop doze, the taste s also great. Medium body with a light sweet, bitter finish. I like this one.

Bottled. Tasted blind. A hazy amber beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of grass, citrus, and malt. The flavor is swweet malty with notes of citrus and grapefruit. I find the body thin.
