Bottled (BB 05/2008)
Dark hazy ruby color, good creamy expresso head. At first very aromatic hoppy nose then toasted malts and coffee. As usual in Ölands beers: very strong flowery and grapefruity hoppy flavor. In this beer it is mixed with ash and tobacco. Aftertaste is a bit metallic and then also burned malty and hoppy. I always wonder how strong flavors Ölands is able to get into their 3,4 % beers.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Reddish amber colour with small beige head. Aroma is fruity hops, some mild notes of licorice, burnt sugar and mild roasted notes. Flavour is salted licorice, tobacco, roasted malts, smoke, some mild fruityness. For 3.4 %, WOW!

Bottled. Hazy reddish brown with a rich and sticky white foam. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit and hay with notes of toasted malt. Flavour of toasted malts, nut shells, flowers, wet grass and grapefruit. Light-bodied. Long bitter finish of grapefruit with nutty undertones.

courtesy of Per - clear and dark ruby-brown colour under a firm beige head; beautiful lace; the aroma shows a nice play between some roasted nutty maltiness and the fruity aromatic hops; moderate malt body; very bitter; long and bitter roasted and hoppy finish - another wonder from Ölands

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2008 Bottled. Clear nut brown, firm head. Rich aroma of grapefruit and peach. Dry and light bodied with lots of aromatic hops. Some very light roasty malt just manages to support the amount of hops. Very bitter finish. Another good effort of making a good beer that can be sold in Swedish food stores, ie. less than 3.5% abv.
