UPDATED: JUN 2, 2019 Half pint (4%; quarterly ale) by hand-pump on 14 Mar 2019: toffee, malty aroma, amber, thin creamy off-white head, good film of fine lacing, toffee, grassy flavour, creamy, good carbonation, bittersweet malty finish.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2019 Drank some at Reading Beer Festival 3 May 2019. Used to be a fan of the Flagship Brewery in The Tudor Rose at Upnor back in 1995. Loved it!

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2019 Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin white head and a light fizz. Toffee, vague fruitiness, some wood. A standard bitter that tastes OK but that got a bit dull by the end.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2019 From tap at S. Fowler & Co., Ryde, Isle of Wight, 05.01.19. Clear dark golden. Diminishing white head. Aroma and taste of sweet crystal malt balanced by some hop bitterness. A bit bland.

From cask. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and malty flavour is the same and somewhat smooth and dry. Spiced and light malty. Towards breadish.

Cask. Good citric hop aroma. Hazy amber colour. No head. Good hop flavour, grassy, citric and refreshing. A bit too flat, the cask could have been kept better.

Bottle at ronnies. Aroma is very smokey like raw smoke not smoked malt, grassy and a bit dusty. Taste is dusty yeast grassyness, why is this bottle conditioned, it ruins the beer completly!

Cask handpull at Simple Simons, Canterbury. Orange borwn colour with thin off white head. Bit dusty on the hop side. Some sweetness form the malt. Bit more dusty earthy hop on finish.
