UPDATED: FEB 27, 2024 Das Faxe Red Erik habe ich im Kaufland in Igersheim in der 1l Dose erstanden. Es riecht nach Biscuit und Brotrinde. Intensiv kupferfarben und klar im Glas, hat die daumendicke, feinporige Krone keine gute Standfestigkeit. Beim Antrunk rezent trotz der 6,5% Alkohol. Die leichte Süße überdeckt den Alkohol gut - weitere Aromen oder Gewürze sind nicht erkennbar. Offenbar auf den Massenmarkt ausgerichtet ist das Bier einfach und zweckmäßig. Beim Abgang unangenehme Bitterkeit - der Alkohol und eine derbe Hopfung finden bei mir keinen Anklang. Erwartungsgemässe Enttäuschung.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2024 Nel bicchiere rilascia un cappello di schiuma compatta e rosacea, fine ed abbastanza regolare ma evanescente. Alla vista si mostra di un colore rosso rubino brillante e limpido. Al naso ha una buona intensità ed è segnata innanzitutto da note speziate ed erbacee, col malto che rimane solo di sottofondo. In bocca ritorna la nota aromatica derivante dal sambuco, piuttosto complessa e quasi dolciastra, che si bilancia con l’amaro solo verso il finale, senza che quest’ultimo riesca mai veramente a prevalere; il corpo è medio-leggero, dalla consistenza oleosa, mentre la persistenza è buona. Si tratta di un prodotto davvero particolare e difficile da valutare, complessivamente buona, ma anche difficile a gustarsi e temo al di fuori delle mie preferenze gustative. Sufficiente.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2024 Can, 0.50l. Aroma is grassy, floral, caramelly and mild fruity. Pours clear reddish brown color with large soapy pinkish head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet caramelly, following is floral, slightly medicinal and mild fruity, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not that bad, but can’t convince me…

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2023 0,33l bottle shared with wiosna @ GNV Napoli-Palermo. Pours clear ruby red with a medium head. Aroma is slightly sweet malts. Flavor is slightly sweet malts with terrible fruit aroma and some hops. Difficult.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2023 Backlog July 2015. Redish brown body under a pink head. Not much aroma here, hint of slightly sour fruit juice. Taste is like sweet fruit juice, not very interesting nor drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2022 1 Liter Dose. Rötliche Bier mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Im Geschmack eine Mischung aus Malz und roten Früchten. Der Alkoholgeschmack könnte etwas dezenter sein.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2022 Grainy beginning. Roasted malts, caramel and grain. Red malts, smooth back with a bitter grainy red finish. Nice.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2022 1 l Dose, als Faxe Red Erik. Rotes Bier, weißer E-Mail mit schöner Gardine. Schmeckt wie ein gewöhnliches Helles mit einem Hauch von Sirup.
