UPDATED: JUL 29, 2022 Can from alexsdad06, drank on 7/24/22. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, grassy hop and slight bourbon. Malty and chocolatey flavor with bourbon accents before a grassy hop finish.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2021 Aroma is roasted malt, with notes of bourbon and molasses, pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. An oily full bodied mouth feel and a taste of bourbon and smoked with notes of licorice. A light bourbon finish.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2021 12 oz. can from Morgantown. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized khaki colored head that disappeared quickly leaving spotty lace. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, molasses, dark fruit, moderate roasted bitterness and barrel to the finish, better than expected.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2021 Can from alexsdad06 pour opaque black with moderate tan head. Nose barrel, molasses, red fruit, bitter chocolate. Taste slight soy, barrel, whiskey, bakers chocolate.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2021 Can acquired from alexsdad06. Poured black color with an average frothy tan head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy barrel aged toasted dark malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark fruit sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy dark sweet finish of medium to long duration. This solid beer met my expectations.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2020 Can from weihenweizen, thanks: pours black with beige head. Aroma is mild vanilla and bourbon... some general woodines and chocolate. Taste is pretty mellow for an IS. Slightly boozy, barrel in the taste. Slightly sweet chocolate.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2020 Refrigerated 12 oz. can poured into a snifter. Black with big light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, medium body, velvety texture, well carbonated, and pretty good lacing. Taste is cocoa, roasted malt, some bourbon, and dry finish.
