UPDATED: AUG 11, 2021 2009 vintage, aged bomber pulled from the depths of the cellar. Poured a copperish color with an averaged sized off white head. This actually aged nicely ... dark fruits, citrus, caramel, sugary and just light oxidation.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2019 I am getting 'Gravitated' on this one. The initial look was scary. Thick, murky medium brown appearance. Looks and smells like apple cider, but the sweetness I am getting is from raisons. After gettin through the first few sips, it actually blends in well and becomes more drinkable. Some beers, the alcohol is hidden....but not this one (I've had 11-12% Barleywines easier to drink than this!). Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. In the end though, the flavor is solid, so that is the most important. A close representation to this style.

rating from an old notebook. aroma is marshmallow fig, plummyalcohol. sweet cookie and caramel flavor. maybe the best caramel flavor i've come across in a beer. it works so well. light yeast spice, the alcohol is apparent but it is working well with all the malty goodness. a bit of chocolate cookie dough. a vanilla note lingers and every drink i want more. yes, Ratman it does taste a lot like a dopplebock.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours amber with very limited white foam. Aroma is very liquor-like, alcoholic, and apple. Body is dense and with some astringency. Taste is wonderful, with fruity sweetness, like plums, little cherries, apple liquor. Finish is long and very pleasant.
