Greg Hall is stepping down. Let the speculation begin. Hostile takeover? Greg going to start up another Chicago brewery? Or is he going to partner up with one of the others?

This is a sad day.

This could get really interesting really quickly.. and likely not for the better.

Hard to believe that GIBCS can no longer be called a craft beer. Sad sad day.

Sounds like a catalyst for this was Goose Island doing too well? That’s sad. This is out of a Twilight Zone episode for craft beer lovers.

This isn’t the first one, but it is by far the biggest shock. Fortunately, they are leaving the Hall family in charge. My gut says that this is a smart move for AB with slipping sales. I don’t know that there is necessarily going to be a negative initial impact here, though I liked GI better when it was a Chicago company...

fucking great. I am really looking forward to finding crappier versions of 312 and Honkers Ale next to the Red Hook and Amber Bock
