Message asatterlund beers 1 º 15:04 Wed 12/21/2011 OK everyone, I just want to confirm our bourbon & beer tasting on January 7th at 7pm. We’ll be tasting the following bourbons (and scotch): - Pappy Van Winkle (Greg) - Blanton’s (Amy) - Templeton Rye (Amy – I got my bottle after all!) - Four Roses Small Batch (Pete) - Scotch (Chris) Greg, Chris, Pete – let me know if plans fall through & you won’t be able to come or bring your bev. I’ll get someone else to fill in. Also, since I’m going to provide the Blantons & Templeton, I think I’ll skip the Eagle Rare. I’ll print out some tasting ’mats’ to keep track of the pours, and will make sure we have some good ice & bottled water as well (anyone picky about their bottled water??). Anyone else, please bring beers to close out the night – I think the consensus was to bring barrel-aged beers, but I’m sure anything is welcome. :) Email me if you need our address or phone #. oregonamy at gmail.

Since we’ll be tasting the bourbons all at the same time and I don’t have 5 bourbon glasses for each person who will be attending, you have the option of bringing your own glassware, or using plastic cups that I’ll be providing. I’ll get the best cups I can find - no red solo cups for us. ;)

I terms of Bourbon barrel beers I think I have a 07 and 08 BCS (tho they are 12oz’s), a 08 Schalfly IS, and a White Oak, which is a 50/50 blend I think. I would have to see what else I have floating around.
