Originally posted by jlruthven I seem to recall Phoenix having a faux brewpub, which was kind of annoying. I had no idea you could get Heady Topper at Burlington - will need to look harder next time! Goose island pub in O’hare has some decent bottles. Usually have BCS, for example. Philly has a pretty good bar with a solid tap list; name escapes me. |
Originally posted by bytemesis Yeah, BTV has this new place that has nothing but local craft beers...about 8-10 on tap and cans of Heady for about $11. It’s cool, but the problem is that there’s really not any reason to hang out in that airport...takes 5 minutes to get through security and there aren’t any layovers. |
I think the most interesting beer selection i´ve seen in an airport was a Wetherspoon Pub (The Windmill)in London Stansted. Some british cask ales, Goose Island IPA, several BrewDog.... apart from that mainly swill. I remeber buying a 1 liter Faxe can in some german airport... |
Today’s probably been my best day ever for airport beer hunting. I enjoyed a can of Hop, Drop ’n Roll while on a layover in Charlotte, and am now sipping a Surly Darkness in Minneapolis Airport. Not fucken bad. |

Drank Captain Lawrence's Smoked Porter at JFK in New York City with a plate of ribs. Delicious surprise. |
Laurelwood in PDX is legit. |
