I’m sure its simple enough to make and many of you have had it but ive only just tried it for the first time recently. It is on the menu at Tired Hands and its one of the most heavenly things ive eaten. Anyone have a good recipe for this? |
Epic Meal Time...!!! |
I assume it is baked? |
It’s easy. Use the google to learn to make a candy glaze. |
I prefer to get others to google for me. |

The maple black walnut butter for the candied bacon at Tired Hands was quite awesome as well. I might take a whirl as making this as well. |
I know where I am from we do what’s called pig candy, I assume its the same concept. Basically I heavily coat thick strips of bacon in dark brown sugar, place on a wire rack over a cookie sheet and smoke at 350 for about 25 minutes, I use apple or cherry wood for smoke. The sugar will crystallize on the bacon and make it extra crispy. But it is very good, maybe not good for you, but taste is on the money |
Originally posted by Miver It was tasty. The second time they served the bacon with just a side of maple syrup...not sure if they changed it up or just ran out of the butter though. |
