Appreciate the advice. I’m already on board with not whale chasing. I like to do a little advance planning, but also would rather try some new and interesting stuff than wait in lines all day.

Lots of good updates on pre-parties: http://greattaste.org/great_taste_eve/.

Chicagoers, tell the rest of us how excited we should be about Goose’s list:

Matilda

Matilda Lambicus

Sofie

Sofie Paradisi

IPA

The Illinois

BCS Cherry Rye + 1 more BCS

Cucumbersome

Dark Traveler

Pepe Nero

Titletown’s list at Malt House sounds tasty: Loose Caboose Belgian IPA, Berliner Weisse (with syrups), Polaris Pale Ale (100% polaris hops – brand new variety), Pullman Porter, Green 19

And on Tuesday AleSmith has their WI launch party with Vietnamese Speedaway on tap.

I’m excited I don’t have to go to that Goose event..

Not since the free and lovely event in 2011 where all the RBers showed up to it an hour early.. literally the first people in.. and they were like "Hey.. we start pouring now".. Memories of northernbrews father in law getting pretty #WBW on BCS Vanilla..

That said.. If you haven’t had the beers, I’m sure it’s an interesting event. Matilda Lambicus isn’t new.. but it will be new to the database.

Is "Matilda Lambicus" a remake of the infected Matilda?

I’m not sure that would be accurate. But it might be similar.

They’ve been tapping versions of wild yeast Matilda over the last year or two.

Matilda Brux was first.. and Matilda Lambicus has been at a couple events (Though I have missed it or not been at said events)..

Hey, if anyone can help me out with two tickets I’d really appreciate it. Willing to pay cash and throw some beers on top. Send me a message and let’s talk.

Surprised no mention of Maduro yet or the list.

Seem to remember an official release from Bells and more info from Maduro itself last year.. teasing the taplist, etc..

I’ve seen the list...many odds and ends, but BA 9000 and Black Note were the heavy hitters. By open at 11am on Friday.
