It’s legit. I don’t really think there’s mich discussion needed. Half Acre is also really good. So is Boneyard. So is Russian River. Most breweries that have stuck around are very good, particularly from the source.

They’re up there with the new Polish breweries.

As mentioned, the ratings speak for themselves.
I’ve been drinking and visiting HF since it opened, but I’m over 800 miles away. Regardless of style, I love most of their beers and Shaun’s style is certainly unique. I’ve had plenty that I didn’t care for whether they were too smokey for my taste or didn’t age well, but overall they are consistently one of the best breweries out there imo.

Hey now, Ratebeer anointed Calumet Dark as the New Hot Shit back in the day. World Wide Stout was #1 in 2003 (it was listed as a Barley Wine) and Stone IPA was #6. People rate based on what is available, and extreme beer stands out.
