Do they have such things in the Grand Duchy? |
The Luxembourg beer scene is quite.. small. Mostly lagers. I’ve been to Luxembourg once and the biggest beer shop is a supermarket.. So I don’t think there will be any beer fests.. |
Yeah, I’ve been a few times and even visited the National brewery Museum in Wiltz once. |
Just found one: Diekirch, an annual beer festival is held on the third Sunday in July. |
Strange actually, that there is no such thing in Luxemburg. Taxes are usually very beneficial, don’t know about alcohol taxes. And with a lot of breweries in the (belgian and german) vicinity, you cant say there has never been any culture of beer in the area. |

Beer prices are keen too, so whatever duty is charged can’t be high. <*))))))>< |
Paging ggaughan, who used to live in Luxembourg (and has been to several beer festivals there). His cousin kkearn would know also. |
most Belgian brewers are on the other side of Belgium, not near the border of Luxembourg. Same goes for the German brewers. Diekirch is their national lager, so I’m guessing their festival won’t be anything extraordinary. But who knows. If there’s a good festival there, I would love to go, great roadtrip and beautiful city.. |
Something going on there by mid august? i may drop there... |
