Message Steasy66 beers 1156 º places 10 º 11:04 Fri 8/22/2014 Went to Bent’s taproom last night. Decent space, but what the hell took 8 months? I was pretty disappointed with the staff. They screwed up my total, but later resolved it, so whatever, but I was pretty annoyed at their general lack of beer knowledge. I was asking about the Rose Gose they had tweeted about, had to go through 4 people to find one who had any idea what I was talking about. When I asked what barrels were used on the BA Kalamity I drank, I was told "whiskey...no maybe bourbon...one of the two".

All of these breweries are in Minneapolis: - Fair State Brewing Cooperative’s taproom will be opening very soon, possibly even later this week. Fair State already has started to sell kegs to bars. - LynLake Brewery is pursuing an October 1 opening date for its taproom. - Eastlake Craft Brewery also is hoping to open its taproom in October. Within a couple of months we should have five breweries within a block of Lake Street over a 3-mile stretch (Herkimer, moto-i, Harriet, LynLake, Eastlake). That’s comparable to what Nordeast Minneapolis has right now (Dangerous Man, 612Brew, Bauhaus, Sociable, and Indeed), although more are on the way in Nordeast. - Insight Brewing also is targeting a fall opening for its brewery and taproom.

Lynlake has an awesome location. That building has been empty for a long time. Also dont forget the Ballentine VFW, one of the best bars in the twin cities.
Message islay beers 3622 º places 18 º 17:20 Sat 9/6/2014 The taproom of Fair State Brewing Cooperative in Nordeast Minneapolis (2506 Old Central Avenue, about a mile north of the 612Brew / Bauhaus / Sociable grouping) is now open. It’s the tenth taproom to open in the city of Minneapolis and the sixth in Nordeast.
