I haven't got one despite erroneously having two accounts associated with the email address I use on this account (somehow managed to register a new account with the same email address through the official app when it was in beta). What should I do about this? I want the other account deleted because it was causing login problems but I was scared my real account would be accidentally deleted instead...

How can that be true? Unless you demand a response, all it can do is detect accounts with invalid email addresses. That tells you nothing about whether people have duplicate accounts, or whether the site has multiple records that correspond to the same identity or email address (an issue which can be resolved with a simple database query (google "GROUP BY", "HAVING", and "COUNT"), and doesn't require the sending of any mails at all).

Yet again, your attempt to answer questions about site issues leaves more questions than it resolves.
