For me, there are two retired beers I’ve tried that I’d love to drink again - mostly because I thought they were truly world class when I first tried them and would love to drink them again, but partly to know if I like them as much now as I did then.

My favourite beer of all time - Naparbier/Beavertown Bone King: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/beavertown--naparbier-bone-king/296821/138957/

Or one of my favourite strong dark beers - Luckie Ales 1841 XXXP Porter: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/luckie-ales-1841-xxxp-porter/242142/138957/

Which retired beers you would like to bring back? It could be a beer you’ve had before which is no longer available, or an historical beer you wish you’ve never had the chance to try.

Can’t think of any that I’ve had. (Although that does give me an idea for a new feature). Have a way to search beers you’ve rated that are now retired! If this is possible, someone please tell me!

Maybe my Top 3 retired beers I wish I could’ve tried would be:

Toppling Goliath Kentucky Brunch
Founders CBS
Bourbon County Stout - Proprietors 2013

Same. My highest rated beer I think was only brewed once. Love to have an ounce or two every night.

Midnight Sun M is another one I can see myself drinking all the time. Make it again dammit!

Beers I’ve had:

De Dolle Stille Nacht Reserva 2000, probably the most perfect single tasting I’ve experienced.
McNeills’ Imperial Stout and Bucksnort.
New Glarus Strawberry-Rhubarb; it’s weird because I thought Serendipity would be the one they would drop, so I bought a few bottles of that, but didn’t stock up on the S-R and when I found out, too late.

Beers I had pre-Ratebeer (pre-internet really):

Eau Claire Beer and Hibernia Bock - 2 of the beers for one of the earliest Midwestern microbreweries, Hibernia Brewing Company, late 1980s. Used to drink both regularly in Chicago at that time.

Beers I’ve never had:

All of New Glarus’ fruit and sour beers that I didn’t get to try, though I suppose there’s some hope for some of them.
De Dolle Stille Nacht Reserva, later editions

Hürlimann Samichlaus and Heavyweight, but really with so many new beers, I don’t know when I would have time to try so many old ones again.

I’m not sure it makes sense to talk about un-retiring a geuze, but if it does, I’d nominate a whole bunch of 3-F beers: J&J Roze & Blau, Millennium, 1998/50th, etc.

Bitterbill

McAndrews Scotch Ale, Brooklyn Monster Ale, Goose Island Night Stalker, to name 3.Loads more. ..

This is my answer as well. I fear a new batch would not be as good as the original, though.
