82 Wonderful old school pub in picturesce house in an otherwise slightly rough deaveopment area. Wooden panels, several rooms, a patio and a roof terrace. Good cask selection (4 handles) but served too warm. Friendly service. |
86 2020 Visit. Slightly outside of the centre. Gorgeous old building with interior to match. Proper lovely old school place, two rooms, one upfront, one more slightly more restaurant-like and a “garden” in the back where you can also drink. The advertisement of it being a beer garden is an euphemism, looked bit more like good place to have a cigarette than to properly session. Comfy, loads of people, Sunday roast going on during my visit. Vegetarian & vegan options available. Good amount of cask & keg, all of their own beers. I remember Marble from about a decade ago when they came to the last Avlinne beer festival organized in Alvinne still, fair amount of the regular on draft were the same as back then but also some collabs. I had two pints of cask beers which were decent but not amazing. I cannot fault a place this wonderfully classical, the look, the vibe etc. Fridge with bottles & cans present, draft prices were quite good but some of the bottled beers of their own in the fridge were quite expensive, Magic Rock cans were maybe bit more than in Belgium. |
88 A little walk out of the city centre to the north... but worth the walk. Small old school boozer, with wood panelling and a small bar with excellent Marble cask options. Had Bitter, Pint, Extra Special Marble and a bunch of others all in banging condition. Service is very good and considerate... clientele is mainly well healed students and couples. |
90 Home of Marble beers, 10 minutes walk from the city centre, this is a gem of a place with a sloping mosaic floor leading you to the bar. 7 marble beers alongside 2 changing guest ales plus craft keg & bottled beers. |

76 Visited April 2019. Beautiful traditional pub with a nice selection. Also with a pleasant beer garden and a good atmosphere.
Next one please! |

82 Impressive appeal both from outside and inside. A good step back for a century to visit it. I felt as if I were in some old railway station, farmacy, post office or something. Seems it's like the Marble's showroom, but there were some guest beers, too. Worth a visit |
