Huge place not too far from Lord Hobo. Service is ok. A good walk from downtown, but itís doable. Enormous selection, nothing too fancy but a lot of good beers. Price are a tad high, but still decent for the area. A nice place, but not a must-go.

Very nice stop very close to both Lord Hobo and Cambridge Brewing Company. Pretty cool atmosphere with dark wood and a 360 degree bar. 100 taps which is awesome for ticks, but often bad for getting fresh beer (turn over is an issue). That said I tried several hoppy beers (Maine Brewing and Jack Abby) and all seemed very fresh. Pricing was a bit high but not terrible. Quite a few ciders and meads available too. What really completely blew my mind was that every single thing I ordered came in its own glass ware. By the end I tried to stump them by ordering the most obscure cidery I could find. Sure enough, a snifter from that cidery. Really impressive. Server was knowledgeable, but not overly friendly. Iíll definitely return the next time I am in Cambridge.

Visited toward the end of a night that started at the Sunset, took in a Red Sox Yankees game at Fenway and then headed to Lord Hobo for a few before finally finishing at Meadhall. That said, this was the least appealing venue of the evening. The room itself is spacious with a nice large bar, but felt a bit industrial. I have to say the service was not good. Perhaps related to the hour of the day and the shift ending mindset of the staff, they were not attentive or nice to us at all. Selection was good, but donít spend any time looking at the huge chalkboard... itís not updated [then why have it], so youíll need to get a menu. I found one rarity once we discovered that the 3 things I wanted on the chalkboard were not on tap. Selection was good, but again, after visiting Lord Hobo thereís very little chance I will return given the industrial feel of the place. Almost felt like it was put together by a focus group exploiting the "craft beer" craze than an organically built establishment of/by/for beer lovers.

Interesting place..biggest beer chalkboard one will probably ever see..100 taps with stuff from many styles..however surprisingly nothing that rare or fabulous..upstairs is private party space with bathrooms and tvs..no tvs downstairs..really wasnít feeling this place..almost too many taps..not willing to pour any flights..were willing to pour a sample..however bartenders really arenít very friendly and basically make laps around the immense circular bar..quite impersonal..didnít try the food but really wanted to have a couple of new offerings and get out of dodge to a better establishment..get props for number of taps..but that is about it..after leaving it makes me appreciate my local pub with 25 offerings and much better service..

A large modern bar, just round the corner from Kendall / MIT T station, the Meadhall is not cosy but itís chic and somehow typically American. Thereís a huge oval bar with an impressive range of taps set into a copper box. There are 100 beers listed in the menu, so lots of choice!

Stopped in on a Saturday night after dinner. They claim they have 100 taps however, 40 of the lines were empty. After sitting down and reviewing the beer menu my buddy and I made our selections. Well, both brews we wanted where out. So after real close inspection they really only had 38 or 39 brews on draft. The bartender apologized for all the missing taps on a Saturday night. Obviously this isnít his fault. That really made me scratch my head. How do you claim 100 taps and on a busy Saturday night 60 -61 of those lines are empty??? We didnít eat so I cannot comment on the food. The other note here is the prices are on the high side. With Cambridge Brewing Co. and Lord Hobo right down the road, I donít ever see myself returning here. After looking at the other reviews, I got to say I am a bit baffledÖ.

I stopped in here today on a Sunday afternoon for the Mystic Brewing 1st anniversary party. Coming from out of town the first challenge is parking. Thereís a garage around the corner and while convenient it is pricy. The bar itself is on the ground floor of what looks like a large office building not far from Cambridge brewing company. A large circular bar greats you in middle of the space surrounded by chairs and on the outskirts tables and high tops. Tall ceilings and a loft the restrooms, a couple of couches a satellite bar and some TVís. The large chalkboard on the wall to the far right holds the info to the 100+ taps available for pour. There are also paper menus with the beer selection which outline style, price and size of pour. Our waitstaff was attentive and handy for our visit, we didnít have any food, but what we saw looked tasty. Two oddities about this place: They will only serve the beer in its brewery logoíd glass which poses a problem when everyone is there for a brewery event and they are out of glasses. The beer menu is arranged by style which is hard to get used to. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will end up back here again, probably to eat as well.

A huge hall-like place with a separate bar upstairs. The taps seemed to go on forever, so the list was extensive. Nothing really shockingly unusual, but solid enough. The special treat was the mead. Normally mead is not my favorite, but the three meaderies they had one were spectacular. Great way to close out an evening after drinking sours all night at the Night of the Funk.

A friend of mine likes to say, "Letís go to a bar so wise that they force you to have each beer in the proper glassware." And every time, we always end up here. Tremendous selection, decent prices, good service, and everything comes in the appropriate type of glass.

I had heard of the place but didnít know where it was then low and behold we walk past it heading to Lord Hobo. We had to stop in. The tap list was ridiculously good. I think it was over 100 taps and they were doing a firkin tapping. The atmosphere was slightly higher class but still somewhat dark. The pricing was sort of all over the place with plenty of things on point but some being really expensive ($12 for Ovila?). Service was very good. I enjoyed myself regardless.
