Ambiance ranges from rock to hip hop mostly from the 90’s for nostalgia purposes. Bar counter seating, table seating, second floor with more table seating. Dimly lit and great for groups or dates. Pours are pretty standard but a lot of great beers always on tap and the food is just as great. Staff are knowledgeable about the food and beer, happy to provide help whenever needed.

Big place with lots of taps, around 100 taps from all around the world. The price list is quite expensive though but all their beers are served in the proper glassware: brewer glass + style glass so I guess that can explain the prices. And I’m only talking about the draft beer. Bottles are inaccessibly high. Quite crowded and noisy place. I could sure spend a few hours / days here drinking all the great beers they have. My wallet wouldn’t be too happy about that though.

We visited Meadhall straight after our inaugural trip to Lord Hobo. It must only be about a 10 minute walk away. Inside it is rather large and modern, perhaps lacking in a bit of personal character. The array of tap handles behind the bar is an imposing site. They offer up to 100 beers of draught which is pretty bonkers. As such the selection is pretty varied from plenty “crafty” nationals such as Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada , Stone etc to more local and more obscure offerings. I’m sure most people would find a few beverages worth sampling! I had some Kent Falls, Allagash and Founders. Highlight of the visit was the hot sauce barrel-aged Founders IPA….! Had a pretty fun time all in all. One of Boston’s best beer bars.

Easily the best place I visited in Boston, great selection at decent prices. Will be my go-to next time I go.

Visited in early evening, very close to the Kendall station. I’d say just the right number of people in there it wasn’t crowded or empty. Felt a bit upscale, modern bar. Tap selection is impressive. Diversity of beer styles, mostly US and some Belgian and German brews. Yes, there are lots of classics which most tickers have tried, but I believe everyone should be able to find something for themselves. Selection makes up for a bit lacking atmosphere. Without a question I’d come back, and spend an evening or two.

The first thing you notice on walking in is the impressive number of taps behind the bar. They have a vast selection on draft and a good number of bottles to choose from as well. The food is quite good, though mostly your standard pub fare. Service is usually very helpful and attentive but after work hours on a Thursday or Friday it can be very difficult to get the bar tender’s attention. I particularly like how they have a random beer on nitro at all times be it stout, porter, or IPA.

First impressions: so many taps! What a great place! Selection is top-notch. Tons of IPAs (and PAs, and IIPAs). Good imperial stouts, even though it’s summer. I finally got to try Founders KBS! New England and US craft beer is the focus, but many good European beers too. Only had a few snacks so I can’t really comment on the food. Service was good (it wasn’t too busy when I was in), and the prices were OK. The beer selection is enough to bring me back whenever I’m in the area.

Large space that kind of feels like a purposefully designed drinking barn (oh wait, I guess it is). A 360 bar with 100 taps so there’s plenty to choose from. I settled for a Pretty Things Jack D’Or and expect to see the likes of Jack’s Abby, Maine, Lagunitas and other breweries from the West Coast. Hard to say how fresh a lot of this stuff is though. The Belgians seemed the most popular with other patrons and there’s an impressive selection of glassware for the beers. As the name implies, a cool selection of mead is listed on the back wall. I ordered the chowder which was bland and questionable. Service was slow to begin with but once I was acknowledged things were good. All said, it’s worth coming by to check out the selection and grab a beer before setting off for the other Cambridge beery spots.

Visited during the afternoon on a weekday and had the run of the place to myself. Nice space. High ceilings, lovely 360 degrees central bar. There’s a lot of beer on tap, much of it interesting. The beer list offers a solid selection of Belgians, which seems to differentiate itself from other bars in the area. I had a Dark Penance and a brett beer from Smuttynose. Prices were OK for the area (Boston’s expensive). I didn’t eat, but the food looked solid. Overall, a must-visit if you’re in town.

When your website says you open at11:30am, and your google maps and places shows 11:30am, but your door front window says 3pm, you are a joke. I went out of my way to come here to try a specific beer to only waste my time and fight traffic.
