52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 10/20 Anvil99 (11) , | May 1, 2013 Typical british pub, but with good selection of american and european craft beers. The staff wasn’t that knowledged about their menu. | 54 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 rlgk (174) Skövde, Sweden | March 28, 2013| Updated May 2, 2013 Quite crowded on a Saturday early evening. Went here to drink a new Bryggmästaren. Found that beer but not that much more. Not a place I will visit every time in Stockholm. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 3/10 VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 11/20 TEJA (39) Stockholm, Sweden | January 9, 2013| Updated May 2, 2013 Second visit to Queen’s Head yesterday. They had a porter/ stoute festival with additional 10 beer on a separate menue. The starting real ale was a bit aple in aroma and starting to be sour. The service was exelent with 2 watrisess that helped our group and was very fast.
The food meny just have a few dishes and is pricy (200 skr $ 30) for a bacon cheeseburger with 3 potatoe vedges that was burnt and without salt is a bit much! The bottle selection is really fine with some of the finest beers I know, and the draft is good as well. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 14/20 Ruddles (18) , | July 23, 2012| Updated May 2, 2013 One thing that hits me directly is the prices here, way higher than similar pubs in the area both on food and the beer. Good selection of whiskies. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 10/20 D_i (11) , Germany | January 31, 2012| Updated May 2, 2013 Very, very expensive for being a "gastro pub". Nice beer selection bud the service couple be better | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (47) Bergen, Norway | November 1, 2011| Updated May 2, 2013 Nicly located in the end of Drottninggatan (up the hill) this is a easy to find and quote central place. The inside reminds me of your average english brown pub. They send football on the one TV they have (no audio) and there’s plenty of room and places to sit even in the evening. The staff was polite and quick, but not to knowledgeable when it came to some of the rare stuff they had on the menu. Nice selection of english bitters on tap and quite good food. Not a place I have to return to, but if you’re in the area it’s a nice place to drop in for a beer and perhaps a quick meal. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 hirigalzkar (80) Stockholm, Sweden | April 6, 2011| Updated July 1, 2012 This is like any Bishops Arms resturant, except that the beer selection is worse, and the burger is better. | 58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 12/20 finol (34) Stockholm, Sweden | April 3, 2011| Updated July 1, 2012 Rather new place and therefor in good shape. Rather crowded at both occations Ive visited.
Friendly and "educational" but not very attentive staff.
Very wide selection from the major importers, lots of taps but there are now surprises or exclusive brews for us geeks...
Nice burger, but the food is rather pricy, as is the beer.
| 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 SaintMatty (147) Uppsala, Sweden | November 25, 2010| Updated July 1, 2012 Decent pub with a good selection of draught beer as well as a diverse range of bottles. The food is filling and tasty. I especially enjoyed some of the music played whilst I was there, including ’In The City’ by The Jam. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 Rune (319) Tromsø, Norway | August 10, 2010| Updated July 1, 2012 A British-like gastro pub in the extension of the pedestrian shopping street of Stockholm. Through a solid revolving door you enter the L-shaped bar with a separate dining area to the right. 12 hand pumps with at least 6 of them displaying Fullers cask ales in addition to an extensive bottle and tap menu. Surprisingly few beers from Swedish breweries. Great selection of Scottish whisky and American whiskey, too. Polite service. Gives a clean, tidy and newish kind of impression. The pub shows obvious signs of having just opened, but seems to have a great potentiality for further development. It should be mentioned that they play the right kind of British music – that is; Joy Division, James, Clash, Bowie and so on. Devoted to Her Majesty Queen Alexandra. Promising (visited on a rainy summer afternoon in late July 2010). |
