JailHouse Raspberry Saison
Light copper with pinkish hues. Thick white head lingers with notable retention. Hazy with good carbonation. Extra bubbly white head. Raspberry aroma dominates. Fruity/berry palate, an almost wine-like finish. Drinkable. Avoids synthetic or funky fruit characteristics.

Bumpy road here; heavy wort-ish malt notes with a slight hint of mildew mix with a prominent piney hop back end and a weird, cardboard-leaning fade. The booziness is well-hidden, but this beer is in desperate need of fine-tuning.

Pours a mostly clear copper red on tap with thick cap of fluffy tan foam head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma of sweet toffee and nutty malt notes over earthy hops and booze. Taste is more of the same, with good booze and malt notes, enough hop bitterness to keep the sweetness down. Decent.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange on tap with thin cap of white foam that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of light citrus and fruity hop notes with a good amount of biscuit behind. Taste is tropical and slightly dank with a touch of new school zesty earth and clean malt behind. It's decent, but nothing to write home about.

JailHouse Breakout Stout
Buddy from GA brought this down to a camping-music festival. A good heavy stout. I actually thought it said "Breakfast Stout" so was thinking of that when I drank it...though not quite as good as that. Still some rich chocolate malt flavors and a slight-off balance of hops. Maybe some bitterness or smokiness I was tasting. I'd like to give this another sample, but only had one.

12 oz can at the 2019 Suwannee spring Reunion. November 2018 canning date stamp. Pours with a huge, frothy tan head that my oversized Tervis cannot hold even with the can still half full. Off notes in the aroma. The flavor is much better than this all portends but does carry some off notes. Lively, light mouthfeel that's closer to creamy than to watery.

Pours clear, pale yellow with a thick and short-lived snowy head. Aroma presents crisp fresh malt and a hint of resin hops. Flavor features crisp malt with whispers of hops and sweet pear. Texture provides so-so body and perky fizz. OK, Mexican cervezas are not my fave, but this is palatable - good with a meal, or while watching a game.

12 oz can. Smells of grapefruit and citrus with a subtle hint of pine. Hazy, a little darker than straw. Juicy with a funk finish. Starts with orange, then grapefruit, then the tastes transforms to earthy, I have never tasted this in an IPA. Dry clean finish with a touch of earthiness. The earthiness builds as you drink.

JailHouse Partners in Crime Tiki Inspired Sour Ale
Enjoyed this sour out of 16oz can. Pretty neat collaboration beer between Piedmont Brewing and Jailhouse Brewing. This is version 2.0 an older version was released previously. Pours a clear red and is a light and refreshing beer on a hot day. Tropical fruits and tartness dominate the palate as well as sour, more so than other sours put out by Jailhouse so far. At 3.2% ABV this beer is easy drinking.....maybe too easy!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed out of 12oz can. A delicious fruit sour that appears to use the Slammer Wheat as a base. An outstanding example of a sour. It’s fruity, tart, dry, and refreshing. At 5.0% ABV and 10ibu not bitter at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty sure pale ales shouldn't come bursting out of the can and all over the floor with the reckless exuberance of my can of Belle. Overcarbonated is an understatement; this beer shot suds all over my kitchen like it was being drunk by Stone Cold after whipping McMahon's ass on Raw. Otherwise...not a good introduction to the brewery, with an odd, overly yeasty lemon backbone against mild cracker malts and a pronounced but fleeting citric hop presence. Slight dank tones pop up on the fade, but also a lingering tart note that seems out of place. Messy beer in multiple ways.

JailHouse Partners in Crime Tiki Inspired Sour Ale
Pours a clear red, the color of cranberry juice slightly watered down. This is clearly different from the Partners in Crime that was last rated 5 years ago and was described as golden by the raters. The fruit and spicing in this beer is fairly reserved and the tartness is more juice like than harsh. Not a bad summer beer.

Says canned in March, so the hops may have been a bit more evident then. The lactose is used carefully so this isn't very sweet. A bit astringent. Not the best Jailhouse beer.

Super malty IPA. This is more like a slightly hoppy brown ale with notes of juniper than an IPA. Looks like a beer ad, though.

Appearance: Pours a light yellow body, nearly clear, with a thin, fast fading, white head. Smell: Corny, somewhat sweet-smelling aroma with the merest hint of hops. Taste: Sweet, simplistic corn-laden flavor. Light kiss of hops, though little to no bitterness. Retains its sweetness beyond the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Leans just a bit overly sweet for me, I would've preferred just a skosh less sweetness, maybe a hair more crispness to keep it moving.

JailHouse Un-Chained Winter IPA
6/22/18 - Columbus, GA - Maltitude Craft Beer & Wine 12 oz can. Pours a murky very dark orange, sticky snow white head with a trace of lacing. Aroma has some slight spruce notes, but is more floral and crystal malt focused. Flavor has some nice grapefruit bitterness, some apricot fruitiness and hint of spiciness. Mouthfeel has a nice tanginess to it. Not bad at all.

Very slight chill haze on the border of gold and amber. The hops in the aroma are more what you'd expect from an IPA (especially since Galaxy is so popular for the style I've had multiple IPAs brewed in Georgia named for the hop. Malt doesn't really complete. Lingering bitterness never seems to work quite as well in lagers but this is still a good beer.

This is kind of like some of those Belgian IPAs. Really hoppy and more than just dryhopped. The choice of hops goes well with the band-aid funk of the saison yeast.

Pours clear, bubbly copper with a thick, though not long-lasting, beige head. Aroma delivers cherry, tart fruit and fresh malt notes. Flavor gives up seriously tart and sour fruit, cherry in the lead, plus raw malt, red wine, and a woody hint. Mouthfeel features fair, smooth body and lively fizz. A sentence you will be glad to serve - or be served.

JailHouse Un-Chained Winter IPA
Can from Viilage Wine and Spirits in Athens, GA. Nose of roast malt, coffee, caramel, and pine. Medium-dark brown, tan head. Sweetish malt, tingling piney hop, some sugary fruit. Bitterness increases markedly toward the finish. Thin-medium body, with just a touch of hop burn. This really seems like a Black IPA, but the brewery’s social network info or news releases nowhere identify it as such.

Pours a deep brownish black on tap with bubbly tan head that dissipates quickly to leave light lace. Aroma of big lacto notes, dark fruitiness and light earth. Taste has some chocolate and roast behind the lacto and fruit. This seems like it was a mistake they tried to pull off, and it didn't work.
