imdownthepub	2.8 Two Towers Mild & Pleasent Cask conditioned at the Gunmakers Arms, Birmingham. Very dark brown with cream head. This proved to be particularly sweet in character, malty. There is a slight plummy, tarty flavour and a touch of fustiness. It's okay. Note the spelling error above. Saturday, March 16, 2024
dragnet101	3.3 Two Towers Mild & Pleasent Actually I didn't mind this one. Pours a dark reddish brown. Roast and ash notes amongst a dark fruity tang. Light but not watery like a good traditional mild. Better than most from this brewery. Saturday, February 24, 2024
minutemat	2.6 Two Towers Complete Muppetry Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms, Birmingham. Misty gold appearance, patchy white head. Fruity sweet aroma, continuing to taste alongside some floral, herbal grapefruit citrus.. but does come across like it's been in the lines a while unfortunately. Shame. Friday, January 26, 2024

BlackHaddock	2.9 Two Towers Chamberlain Pale Ale Cask half-pint at the source, shared with Mat on 25th January 2024. Clean golden body, white crust. Citrus front with grapefruit like aroma and flavour to the fore, other citrus fruits turned up, but this didn't 'float my boat' at all. Thursday, January 25, 2024

Blotchy foamy beige head. It's the sour berries that are noticeable first. Followed by dark chocolate and dark malts. The sourness is in throughout. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat-average carbonation. brexitgiftshop	2.8 Two Towers Paranoid Dark, some thin foam remains, little aroma, some chocolate, aniseedy notes, malty dark, some creamy taste but fleeting, chilli comes through but mild, more ginger wine vibes. Mouthfeel watery, low carbs. Largely forgettable. Nice Sabbath label design... yet why name paranoid for chilli beer? For a Sabs beer, I'd want a heavier, thicker, taste, a stronger ABV, a beer to sup at... Yes they're from Brum but give Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill a beer worthy of them. Wednesday, August 18, 2021

dragnet101	3.2 Two Towers BSA (Birmingham Special Ale) 500ml bottle with the BSA standing for Birmingham Small Arms Ltd so I like the double take. Pours a deep gold, thin head, low carbonation in appearance. Aroma is malty, nuts and overripe pears with a hint of booze. Taste is malty, resinous, grass and a jammy tang, modest bitterness in the finish. Body has a smooth light honeyed texture and a low near flat carbonation, which although could be better is ok due to the body. Quite enjoyable. Friday, January 1, 2021
dragnet101	2.5 Two Towers Chamberlain Pale Ale 500ml bottle direct from brewery. Clear gold-light brown pour, thin head, no visible carbonation. Aroma is malts, floral and citrus. Fears are confirmed as this beer is flat, no carbonation at all. Another poor attempt at bottle conditioning. If I had known I would have waited for an opportunity to visit the Gun Makers Arms before trying these beers. Flavours are nice through, malts, peach, citrus, some light fruity grapefruit. dragnet101	3.4 Two Towers Hockley Gold 500ml bottle direct from brewery. Pours clear brown, thin head on pour but strangely improves over time with a consistent carbonation. Aroma is caramel malts, raisons, a little grassy. Taste has the same notes, a little nutty, semi-sweet, with a hint of citrus and a nice moderate bitterness. Good body and unlike the last beer, the carbonation is spot on. I like this one, the bottle conditioning is much better. Wednesday, December 30, 2020
dragnet101	2 Two Towers The Electric Ale 500ml bottle. Gold with thin head, minimal retention. Aroma is like a radler, lemon and lime cordial with a hint of ginger beer; not unpleasant but a bit artificial. The first thing I noticed is the light body with a low carbonation; it just tasted flat for a light beer. Taste is like a basic golden ale with a lemon, lime, and mild ginger cordial adjunct added. Minimal bitterness. At its best I can image this being quite a refreshing brew but mine was quite poor. Wednesday, December 30, 2020
dragnet101	2.9 Two Towers Complete Muppetry 500ml bottle direct from the brewery. Gold, decent white head, average retention. No massive aromas but there is a mild citrus and floral/herb note. Taste is a little more pronounced with biscuit malts and quite floral and peachy hops balanced by a decent level of bitterness. Not a bad body for a 4.3%. Traditional golden ale and certainly not an IPA in the modern context. Personally would like more finishing hops to add more flavour. Not bad, would be interesting to try this on cask one day.
