A little doughier, maltier, less hop forward than typical. Solid example nonetheless, captures the style well enough. Doughy brown sugar. OK. Sunday, February 4, 2018
Drake	3.8 Sweet Mullets Vanilla Squeezins Keg at the brewpub. Black, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong coffee and roast with a bit of chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, dark cherry. Medium bodied, smooth, lingering bitterness. Nice. Thursday, June 15, 2017

Taste is molasses, chocolate, coffee, roast, caramel. Medium bodied, well balanced. A bit light but otherwise quite nice. Thursday, June 15, 2017

nuplastikk	3.4 Sweet Mullets Oishi Tap at Vintage. Unfitlered brown body. Another oddball sour from SM. Has some mild white wine notes in the aroma, oak, some sour orange. A touch oily, leathery. Mellow cask-like carbonation. Some woody cherry, red wine notes. At times not unlike an Oud Bruin or Flemish red. There is an earthy, almost spiced quality to it, hard to put my finger on it. Grows on me, nice berry tinge. Incorporates the sour well, but coudl use some balance. Sunday, September 20, 2015

AWISLguy	3.6 Sweet Mullets Black Hops Black IPA Hrowler fill from Ray’s Growler Gallery in Tosa. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma has black malts, dark chocolate, caramel and light raisin. Taste is of sweet caramel, cocoa, some espresso, tangy black malts and a touch of dark fruits. Medium bodied. Little alcohol presence. Finishes fairly well blended between bitter and sweet, leaning slightly sweet. Nose is actually more solid than what the flavor brings. Really wanted to enjoy but it is fairly blah for style, without much hop presence. 13.5 Monday, August 31, 2015
JK	3.2 Sweet Mullets Thunderstruck Great Taste of the Midwest 2015. In the real ale tent. Moderately sour, lots of balsamic, some malt flavor, not hop character. Dark brown color. TheAlum	3.6 Sweet Mullets Oishi Draft mon tap at Vintage Brewing (Madison, WI). Pours a deeper reddish copper hue, some darker brownish hazy middle with frothy tannish head atop. A firmer layer, nice layer remains a thicker ringer atop, solid lacing. Aromas are sour cherries, red wine and some carmelized appeal. Touches of Balsamic, a bit of red wine and oak meet biscuit, faint vanillin and firmer sour appeal. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a nice cherry and red wine appeal is dry and tart, subtle sour cherries work in with a bit of berry appeal, firmer lactic twang grows between carmelized malts, some toast and red wine essence. A bit tannic, acidic on the backend with a bit of toastiness, earth and mellow spice. Subtle cinnamon, vanilla, and biscuit. Mellow oak, a bit tannic and vanillin meets some earthiness, tart red fruit, cherry and red wine essence, a bit tannic. Solid, a bit punchy up front but this one tapers out as we press on and finish. More intense nose, brooding ruby pour with nice punchy lactic appeal, oak and carmelized feel. This is nice, a firmer sour punch with a more trailing malty, red wine appeal on the back. Solid. deyholla	3.5 Sweet Mullets Oishi On tap at Vintage. Pours a near clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has tart red fruit with a bit of oak and a bit of spruce backing. Flavor has an oaky tart fruit note with a bit of bread and light spice underlying. Friday, August 7, 2015

Bacterial	3.5 Sweet Mullets Oishi On tap at Vintage Brewing in Madison, WI. Amber pour with a slight white head. Pepper-forward nose with a hint of fruit. More berry and pepper in the taste. Very lightly sour. Oaky finish. Quite interesting. Curious what fruit is in here. Would be fun with some real sourness. Tuesday, August 4, 2015

JonnyMadison	3.4 Sweet Mullets Darkness Snifter at HopCat in Madison. A very interesting stout -- labelled an oak aged wild stout that uses wild yeast to achieve very unique flavors. It was very dark and smooth. Flavor was intensely sour -- like elderberries or "wild" berries that had a little toxicity to it but very, very smooth. Wednesday, July 15, 2015

cbfobes	3.2 Sweet Mullets Reggie # 4 - Black IPA On tap at brewery, pours a very murky dark brown with a thin off white head, pours like very dirty river water or something, the aroma smells so much better than it looks, the aroma has a decent amount of citrus and hops with a nice roast backing, the flavor has a good amount of roast and chocolate at first with a hop and fruit like finish, not bad. cbfobes	3.8 Sweet Mullets Aprikose On tap at brewery, pours a clear dark orange with a thin head, the aroma has a pretty good amount of fruit and apricot with a little bit of funk mixed in as well, the flavor has a nice fruity front end with a tart and wine like finish, not overly sour but has a kick, smooth mouthfeel, really enjoyed this.
